To escape from the fact that they can't get a job
Riddle me this
You copyrightfags are always claiming i don't own games even if i buy them
So how can pirating them to be stealing? ;^)
Does anybody ACTUALLY use that "I'll buy it if I like it" excuse? Like if I already have the product why the fuck would I pay for it after even if I did like it?
If you pirate CP does it hurt the CP industry?
I'm making 200$ a month. Half of that I spend on food. How do you expect me to buy 50$ game?
denying them the chance to rent you it?
Are you a faggot?
>People work hard to bring you kitty fucking
Key word is work NEET
>I'm making 200$ a month. Half of that I spend on food
>Americans spend 100's on buying food
>Physical objects are the same as lines of code
i do, you piece of shit. under glorious capitalism you're simply suckered into giving people who think they're smart more money. not my fault you're an idiot
fuck no
Im doing that shit because I don't have value enough in the game enough to buy it in the first place
why do people try to defend companies that don't care about anything but their wallets
>Dev uses money to create a game
>People pirate the game
>Devs don't get money back
>They can't create game anymore
"Harmless" piracy
that image is stupid, if you create your own bicycle copy you own it and don't have to pay anyone, as a private person you can even ignore patents as long as you don't sell it
this is why some sell guides how to build your own motorized bikes and parts to build them - circumvents the whole patent issue.
The software industries issue is that there is no cost to copying unlike real world goods. Somewhere along the time when the msdos saw the light of day they started shilling for copyright and "copying is theft" because they they were not making any big money unless they could artificially limit copying.
>dev uses kikestarter to fund their next game
>everything is fine
They had no fathers in their lives, so they adopted an obese man or jap CEOs with pixelated dicks as their own dads
I don't feel sorry for corporations, so I don't pay for their games. Indie developers however, those I support. Got a limited budget, user.
Yea exactly, just be honest. I steal games because fuck you thats why.
Why do people always assume people that pirate are poor. Perhaps I don't like supporting shitty companies.
Found the faggot
$200 a month? Do you only work 6 hours a week or something?
$200 a month? Jesus, that's what I make in a day (before taxes).
Where do you live?
etsy.com
>go to store
>see that
>fuck paying 3 grand for a tree slice
>cut down a tree
>get a slice of it
>turn it into a coffee table while only paying 20 bucks for fuel and sandpaper and screws instead of 3500
>go to jail because you are a "pirate thief"
You make so much sense
Do you realize that if people could do this, the entire economy would be "solved"?
No ressources wasted anymore. And only the government, or any random person would need to create 1 single thing, that would get copied billions of times.
>$200 a day
Fuck you
You are supporting them by playing their games.
Letting their product take up your time, memory, and emotions, is also a method of support.
Because I'm a poorfag. What are you, stupid?
Stealing from large corporations is okay. I try not to pirate small titles.
I pirated this 7 by the way
I know that feel.
I make like 450 USD a month.
Buying games would be idiotic.
yoink
too bad it had DRM unlike this 5
Relax, that's before taxes.
The net amount is only $150 or something. ;^)
You know, trying to paint piratefags as being pathetic with that comic works pretty bad when you basically have to give him superpowers to even state your point.
But that would mean socialist hell since money is no longer needed and everyone has access to everything not true and free capitalism where you can laugh at people for not being able to afford things.
Because it's free and has no consequences. Don't be a retard
There is nothing wrong with that except for the bike creator saying he'll pay the storeowner if he likes it. He doesn't owe him shit.
My dads a carpender, me a blacksmith. Half the furniture in our house is based on designer shit sold in stores for ludricurous price that recreated ourselves for practically free.
>baitkakke
Those two examples are incomparable.
Piracy gave us something fantastic tho
youtube.com
>Key word is work NEET
So CP just appears out of thin air?
Cool.
well thats what pirates do, they copy the game instead of paying first
...
Good on you user. I wish i was good with my hands, but so far the only thing they are good for is fapping
How.
>man goes store
>man copies bike
>man keeps bike for himself
>man goes store
>man copies table
>man keeps table for himself
Are you really retarded? If they are incomparable then I shudder at the thought of how well original comic compares to piracy
I'm slav-shit. Ruskies are using torrents more than any other nation, I suppose.
anyone can be an artist/rocket scientist/fighter pilot/nuclear engineer/AI developer/game developer
Difference is people who are didn't say "I wish I was good at X like you user"
They got off their ass and git gud every day
>justifying opinions with memes
Where are you from?
Hey guys, i'll pirate your little brother for a couple days
I wasn't gonna pay for him anyway, so there's nothing wrong with it.
you know, games used to have demos. hell they had shareware, which is one third of the entire fucking game.
I'm not buying a game unless it works well on my PC.
I know. What i'm saying is i wish i wasn't lazy to get off my ass.
Your example
>Don't want to pay for thing
>make similar thing and pay less for it
His example
>Don't want to pay for thing
>using magic get an exact copy of it
If he made the bike to look like the stores one only with parts he got for himself, then they would be comparable.
>what is natural talent
Retard
Yeah, but I mean, when was the last time you've met a person with superpowers who was pathetic? You've literally never met a person with superpowers who was pathetic. If you want to paint someone as being pathetic, maybe don't give him sweet ass clone power.
>Me and my dad are crooks so it is OK
Americans everyone
If you don't have the money don't play the game. Deal with it. You are poor, you don't get to enjoy vidya.
Because you can't play multiplayer and some people actually do test games out before buying them. There was a reason demos were so popular back before every triple A release was a piece of shit
If we could actually clone items like that, humanity would be set and there would be no need to have a bike shop in the first place.
post that talking bicycle
There's such a thing as talent though, which is the ability to acquire knowledge and mastery within a certain field faster than the average.
Someone can spend 10 years working their ass off learning to play an instrument and not come close to someone who spent 3 years learning the same instrument, that's because there is a disparity of talent.
Yes, hard work is important, but knowing your forte and your limitations are just as important, else you'll just be working your ass off on something you aren't particularly talented in.
So you're saying wood table example is nowhere near as bad as using magic to copy bikes
Copying software and copying physical objects are also incomparable.
So I don't, but I used to steal games until I gave up on it.
I've bought several games multiples times if I enjoyed them enough
Only one of them was after I pirated it though and only because it was only available sporadically as used copies
But it's mostly because I collect video game manuals, I rarely buy new games because they don't come with them
Talent is as real as magic
I get accused of natural talent a lot and I'm in an industry which outsiders precieve as "naturally born picassos only"
Natural talent is mostly a lie to make lazy people feel good for not being able to put in enough time or be mentally strong enough to git gud.
Go pay your TV license, Ahmed.
Piracy has no economic effect
Whats the problem? its fine im just playing a videogame. Me downloading a game and playing it in private doesnt have any impact on anyone
Why wouldn't I try out game before purchase? Even Steam allows me to do so. Even car dealer let's you test car before purchase. Or are you so financially illiterate that you waste money on companies that shit out bad games?
So you're saying that copying a file is magic.
answer me, is spending a bit of time and money for fuel and tools to copy a table not as bad as using magic to copy bikes?
Pretty much.
Because I can.
Fuck you.
I want to make Chihaya Full!
Well no, in this case its the difference between just copying the game, and making your own game similar to that game so you don't have to pay for it.
Buttpiracy != vidya piracy
Perhaps if you cloned him it would be comparable.
>Or are you so financially illiterate that you waste money on companies that shit out bad games?
It's called not being poor and living like a king
Too much money on speed and hookers.
It sounds exciting in theory, bt in practice it is a really hollow existance
s-sauce? I tried looking for it
Achievements, Steam Cloud, Trading Cards
That's all there it is, just achievements made me to play games on hardest settings to get achievement instead of breezing through game at easiest settings, steam cloud allows me to not give a single shit about save games without losing them, trading cards are gimmick.
But yes, practically it's achievements and 'being seen', I enjoy my games more when anybody can see what I played and what cheevos I got, instead of being truly isolated where people don't even know if I even play games. Foxiest of the Hounds in Deux Ex? Pacifist in other games? All this shit I would never play voluntarily, but legal games with cheevos give me motivation actually to git gut at some games.
I'm not pretending that I'm being moral though.
>hookers
Why not Vegas and escorts?
why am i morally obligated to give my money to companies that have proven time and time again to have shady practices and more of interest in profit that functionality?
I don't do it now I can try games for 2 hours on steam. If I don't like it, I refund.
I'm posting from front page but I hope other posters have mentioned how you can ask to try out products in most stores
Especially bikes
I don't know why do you insist in making these threads every day? Do you get paid per post?
What is rvtfix and Risk of Rain
I practically always buy games if I like them, the reason I pirate in the first place is because sometimes I'll feel I want to spend worth 2-3 given games that month, but there are maybe 10 games that have my interest, so by pirating I sort out which ones I'm most interested in, get ironed out whether there were some I was just interested in on a shallow level and don't truly like and at the end I end up with being able to narrow the list down to what I really like, it's not always I pirate first though, in a lot of instances I just take the plunge.
Though when pirating the game I don't spend like 20-30 hours in it, I'll play it for a courtesy 3-5 hours at most and then decide so that the bulk of playtime still comes from the genuine copy.
Eastern europe.
yes, i pirate nearly all of the games so that i can try them out, then buy them if i ever play over 30 hours or genuinely enjoy it.
for multiplayer games i just try them in open beta/free weekends.
I wouldn't buy a bike if they wouldn't let me try it out first and if there was no chance for refunds if it didn't work. Maybe you're a stupid cuck that does that shit, I dunno.
Yeah, with that mindset you won't be living like a king for much longer, not to mention it's you who's killing the videogames by supporting cancer. Some king you are if you can't even see consqeuences of your actions, more like rich prick everybody's making fun of.
I pirated games through my childhood but I started buying games as soon as i got a job.
I have been pirating 95% the last 3 years. I can use my money for other activities.
I pay for games I feel are worth the money, even if I've pirated them first. Why would I not want to support games I like?
This is why major developers cater to consoles, we actually pay for our games.
>Some king you are if you can't even see consqeuences of your actions, more like rich prick everybody's making fun of.
Believe me
Anything is possible if you have enough money
i dont use that argument but I have defenitely bought games later on that I pirated it and enjoyed.
Because games aren't treated like normal goods and services. If you go to a shop and you buy what is advertised as a chocolate cake and it turns out someone just shat in a box, you can go and ask for a refund.
If you get a taxi and they take you to somewhere you didn't ask to be taken, fuck paying them.
But when it comes to games, the developers can say that this game is 10/10 A++, will turn your shit into gold after playing for 10 seconds. However, in reality is a buggy piece of shit with graphics that a 12 y/o could have drawn in paint. What makes it better is you can't get a refund, or rather you couldn't until up until recently, mainly because of stupid DRM policies.
>Buh we just want to stop them pirates...
Yeah right, you corporate faggots want to have the best revenue possible with the minimal amount of expenditure. We get that, it's capitalism. However, if you could charge people just to turn up the graphics quality in the game as DLC, you would. If you could charge people for just looking at a screenshot, you would. So don't say that DRM is just to stop pirates, it's to lock people into buying the game so they can't get a refund or give it to a friend.
