I have been looking for a this game for years now, it must have been some 15 years ago? I have had no luck and now I turn to /v.
Here is what my iffy brain remembers.
The game is not Airmech nor Herzog Zwei, but it is somewhat similar, and is cronological somewhere between thoes two.
The game is a topdown RTS-ish where you control a yellow/orange UFO/Flying saucer. You had to caputre these nodes/bases, that continuesly spawned units. The units traveled towards the enemy in a conga line. I belive you could change the unit types spawned but not the path they traveled. The goal was to overwhelm the oncomming enemy units, and eventually dominte all unit spawning nodes. Pretty simple, the younger me I had great fun playing it, I would love to relive some of the memories.
Sounds like some interesting tower-defense type game, no idea what it is called tho, sorry.

It is in the same area of genre where you dont control the units directly. You only control the slowmoving UFO.

It's sim ant
lol

I'm looking for another game where it's an RTS with a squadron space ships but you could freeze it at any point to change angles and trajectories. Top down, and you'd fire a missile with slight angle whilst being able to turn your ship in any way.

OP here lol yeah It is exactly like Sim Ant except it features UFOs and machines, and I remember it to look 3d. I remember I played red alert before I played the game I'm looking for, but before red alert 2.

while that's a good suggestion, this was pre-Flash, around the time when 1000 games in 1 was a thing
oh, the first google result was some bland shooting flash game. thanks user

OP This game looks cool. The game Iom thinking of you have no control over units, you only had control over the UFO to capture the nodes/bases. You didn't build bases at all. The map only had a few buldings non-destroyable, the gameplay was to capture and control the buildings.

This maybe?

Whatever genre that is, I fucking love it.
Starcraft 2 has a mission where you help a smaller force throw wave after wave at strong defenses and only have control over stealth unit.
So comfy

it's called a MOBA

OP here I belive the fried I playd it with got it from a collection of cracked games, .jpeg of girls, and music (this was before we had internet access). I think the collection was called NEO or NEO-discs or something, it's likely that this was just a local thing in my contry, but if anyone know of an archive or list of content it would help alot.
