who smithed vordt's armor? why did someone smith custom fitting armor for a giant, mindless, feral monstrosity? was vordt just always big before he went beast? did they craft his armor when he was still human just in case? how did they know he would be so big, when the other outrider knights are much smaller? seriously this game makes no sense
Who smithed vordt's armor? why did someone smith custom fitting armor for a giant, mindless, feral monstrosity...
Shit exists in a world of magic and corruption. Its entirely possible it started out normal but over time things got fucked up and magic was involved.
The japs mis read the lore book cuz they squint too much.
And the lore read
"he horr luv armor on big guy no matter what long tym"
His ghost, together with Dancer, is normal sized.
That's not the dancers ghost
Anyone played thief class?
And why is cleric so shit?
All the super tall knights are normal sized.
Its a Dark Souls 1 thingy
Vordt was normal until the pontiff corrupted him with some ring and made him an insane outrider knight
Pretty sure the Dancer's armor description states that she fused with the armor after being "corrupted" or whatever by Sulyvahn. I imagine the same thing happened to Vordt and probably adapted as he became more primal.
Also it is a video game.
The armor transformed with him, it's a Berserk thing.
Time and space are convoluted in lordran
Why are all humanoid bosses so big, but your character is a manlet?
That image looks like someone who did security for a Chinese mining company in Angola just finished up their one year contract.
That's awfully specific
Cleric is shit because a lot of the early game and mid game miracles are shit. Also so are a lot of the late game miracles.
Miracles are mostly bad in Das3.
That said, don't get caught up on what starting class you choose, its really not that important. You can fully customise your build and everything as you go along, you also get 5 respeciliasations to rebuild your character with if you decide you dont like something.
He's a big guy
I played as thief. It's essentially useless because as far as I can tell thief doesn't have a crit bonus like it did in DaS1, and the dash with the knife is useless because it's fuckall impossible to land backstabs with it. After I beat the game with thief I started another NG as knight and realized that anything other than thief is easy mode.
Why is Vordt allowed to be left-handed but I'm not?!
It's souls ain't gotta explain shit
always asking the hard hitting questions user, keep it up
Actually, it's mainly just knight that's easymode. Magic and Faith builds are trash unless you respec into them at high soul levels for newgame+, pyromancy is only slightly better
Are you retarded?
They become beasts. They don't start out as them.
Cleric is cleric.
1. Blessed Weapon is hidden in one of the last areas in the game. You get the fucking Lightning Blade a lot earlier, but its 30 faith
2. Emit Force requires the fucking Siegward sidequest to be completed in the Cathedral
3. Lightning Spears need a new animation to even do what they are suppose to do. Lightning Stake is weird, but worth it.
4. You need to go all in to even do damage, because of how enemy defence works.
Basically: Because all weapons deals roughly the same damage, spells now deal shit damage. Basically there is nothing between Lightning Spears and "lol infinite cast time" because they didn't add a new mechanic to make Magic REAAALY good(i.e magic charge attacks).

The 3rd line makes up this sentence:
"The Queen of Lothric, married to the former King Oceiros, was initially revered as a goddess of fertility and bounty."
Whereas it should read something like:
"The Queen of Lothric, married to the former King Oceiros, was even likened to a/the goddess of fertility and bounty."
The verb 例える (tatoeru) means "to compare" or "to liken", and has no connotations of "revere" or "worship". The biggest stretch you could make would be to say she was "loved as..." to imply that people thought so highly of her that they compared her with a deity. There's also nothing that could be translated as "initially" in the original text, so this is actually a pretty big oversight. It's likely meant as a knowing nod to Gwynevere; she is the only goddess of bounty and fertility that we know of, and the Queen of Lothric was so caring that people compared her love to that of a goddess.
It makes me sad remembering how in one of the early DaS3 interviews when Miyazaki joined the project he said how they're aiming to make magic feel more unique and special than in previous games, and in the end we get the most bland generic copy-pasted magic from DaS1 except way worse, least amount of spells yet, and to top it off they made half the weapons in the game unbuffable/uninfusable and every non-physical damage infusions be unbuffable, even further fucking up the build variety.
Vordt is probably the most disappointing boss in the entire game simply because of how piss easy he is. Really expected him to be more difficult than he actually is. Even in NG++ I spanked the shit out of him first time.
