The Nadine fights are disgusting, they don't test the players skill, they don't make the player feel like they lost a fight, or the villain was really strong, instead it feels like you're playing a cutscene.

The fighting controls are changed for the Nadine sections, meaning you can't roll or dodge or fight like you normally can in the game, instead it's scripted heavily and restricts the player to quick time events.

It's even more sexist that they thought this would have made a good female villain since she ends up running away at the end of the game and she never comes across as a smart villain or someone you care about.

Bravo Naughty Dog, you fucking hack game developers you seriously couldn't make a good character even if you copied one exactly piece by piece.

I understand the point of focus testing isn't arguing with the testers but to see their reaction. The guy who pays the bills isn't going to care that you proved the testers wrong, he expects to see a better reaction the next time around.

Was the guy right? In the 2 examples mentioned (Drake's Daughter and the old mansion lady), it doesn't really matter. The fact the character designer kept wanting to turn everyone female is bit worrying, but it doesn't matter for those characters either way.

My problem is with Nadine. She was clearly added to the game to tick the Independant Black Woman inclusion checkbox, as she has literally no purpose in the story. She was probably thrown in at the last minute because the character designer shoehorned it in. So this guy is right there at least.
