Well, if it plays like Adventure 2 (as in, tight, fast and responsive, not glitchy and with one button doing a bunch of shit and rail jumping being hard as shit in some parts) has many playable characters with good mechanics and varied gameplay, a nice story, multiplayer, the Chao with online mode and isn't a glitchfest, THEN maybe it can be good, add fun missions per level other than "Finish this shit as fast as you can" and don't make the levels painfully long too.

You don't need boost in 3D games. Spin Dash is how you'd go fast in the 3D games. SA1 Spin Dash + SA2 lightspeed dash is all that's needed. Classic Sonic already knows homing attack plus he has insta shield and elemental shields.

I think the most important thing about a new Sonic game is that there better be A FUCKING CRUSH 40 SONG ACCOMPANYING IT.

The werehog was the most expanded upon alternate gameplay that 3D Sonic ever had and it was a compilation of what was learned from SA2

LITERALLY the only thing its missing would be the chao garden, which is boring and retarded as fuck. EVEN THEN, it could be argued that the level up system was a replacement for the chao garden, where as before you grinded for animal parts, you now grind for EXP to buff up your characters stats.

Just adding knuckles stages isn't enough and calling platforming tail's stages is stupid. That's like making a few space levels in 3D World and then calling it Mario Galaxy 3

It was a culmination of what was in the adventure games. The only difference is that sonic is doing it all instead of being spread to other characters, and thats the result of everyone being butthurt that other characters took up to much screen time. So starting with unleashed they scrapped them all
