I didn't fall for the marketing, its just a colourful flavor of the week first person shooter that'll die in a few months. The only reason it's getting hype is because Blizzard is behind it and a serious marketing. I mean not to mention PC clowns are hyping this to be the second coming of christ because they feel like it's a love letter from Blizzard one of their most valued developers.

A good measure of how successful it'll be in the long run is how fast hype for it grew and weather or not there was reason to justify that hype. Take dark souls for example, that game was a seriously slow burner and it gained eternal fandom for good reason. Overwatch emerged out of nowhere after appearing breifly years ago with CGI films that were midly received and now and suddenly gained millions of fans. You know full well this is going to be a forgettable game within a few weeks. It simply isn't going to be the TF2/Counterstrike it want's it to be, it's a temporary first person shooter at it's core.
