If there was any perfect time to kill myself, now would be it.

forever and always

Still and forever will be

I was never really mad only disappointed, and disappointment is forever.

Never was. The story slightly let me down, but I honestly mgs4 was such a letdown and the time between 4 and V was so long that I had time to hate the series, get over it, make my peace with it and am now able to simply enjoy it for what it is.

I heard they're going to patch in some kind of level editor earlier today, that definitely makes me want to go back and play it once that's out

Mad about MGSV? Shit, I'm still mad about MGS4.

I'm still mad about MGS3

I will always be mad about MGS V. The fucking trailers and all that hype man...

Mad, no. Just disappointed.

My anger has since simmered down into regret and disappointment. An emptiness pervades my soul whenever I think about the series.

>That awesome trailer for Part II midway through.
>Game completely shits itself and goes nowhere in the 2nd act

God, what a letdown.

What a waste of fantastic controls.

I play every few days because I wish it was good. FOBs are so shit.

I remember seeing people mad about ME3's ending, and laughing at them. It ain't funny when the same thing happens to you.

You know that copypasta about ME3, that's pretty much how I feel about it.

I actually hoped back to MGO 3 waiting on Overwatch and I was really surprised they are still doing shit for FOBs, do people even play that?

It's not the same thing.

A few days ago someone I was supporting got infiltrated for the first time in forever. I really don't think so.

Feels like a tech demo for an engine that will likely never get real use again

>tfw urge to load it up
talk me out of it guys

Not mad, just dead inside.

I'm not really mad.
It's a combination of despair, jadedness and sorrow.
All the hype, all those magnificent trailers.
All for a butchered game that falls on itself like a house of cards.
It had absolutely everything to be the Game of the Decade, yet it failed so hard.

D Dog did at least add a lil sumthin sumthin. He wears body armor :D

Isn't it? People were hyped, people had expectations, people were disappointed with the result and felt scammed. Or at least I felt that way with MGSV. Maybe I'm missreading something

Mass effect 3 was the ending of a three game series that lasted 6 years and more games are confirmed
MGS V was the last game of a 10+ year series

>the last game
>

>still

I never was. It was a really fucking fun game. Deal with it, faggots.

>was

>OH BOY I CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY THE NEXT MISSION I WONDER WHAT HAPPENS
>Opening sequence with helicopter
>Featuring:
>Venom Snake
>Quiet
>SPOILERS

You feel it too, don't you?

Mass Effect 2 and the Dragon Age games were a pretty clear warning that things were about to go to shit. People hoped for the best, but probably subconsciously prepared for the worst.

I didn't really follow the Metal Gear Solid series until V, but I gather it was much more of a kick in the balls, seeing as the trailers were misleading and the first half of the story wasn't completely awful.

It was fun for the first 20 hours, then it became a chore. Go collect this, go collect that, do the same mission 50 times, listen to these boring ass tapes, go back to motherbase for no reason, visit these same areas over and over again, etc.

I was never mad with it. Its different than what I expected from the trailers but its still a fantastic fucking game. Basically Peace Walker 2 and I'm 100% okay with that since PW was the best playing one in the series until V. GZ was fun too.

I've been thinking of replaying it full notranq.

>PW was the best playing one in the series
MGS2 was the best playing one in the series. MGS4 did if you count what little it had. PW was a step back.

I'm going to do a no buddy run after I'm done playing MGS2 and 3 again

It was really good game, could have been so much more. Still a bit mad, but I enjoyed it a lot.

>Starring the SKULLS Unit

It was a delayed response on my part. Denial is a bitch.

I am. Can't believe I wasted my time with it. The whole game just felt like such a pointless boring slog without end. The "tight gameplay" everyone shilled never seemed to be put to good use. The locations were all boring as fuck and reused. The water dam was pretty fun and so was the WOLBACHIAAAAA man's house but other than that it just didn't impress.

Also what was the point of building MB when there was fuck all to do there? Why leave Eli stealing Salanthropus in if you're never going to finish the story?

I love MGSV
Fuck the haters man.

Game looks fantastic, gameplay is GOAT.

Dat replay value of missions
Dat urge to collect every S rank under the sun
Dat challenge of infiltrating high rank FOBs

Who cares if the story is shit, as a huge MGS fan, and I mean, HUGE. Kojima's writing for stories hasn't been the same since 3.

Do I think MGSV is the best MGS? Hell no, but it's still an amazing game.

I'm not mad, I'm just sad.

>no VR missions with 4's gameplay
That one hurts. What little there was, was amazing.

I just wanted some peace walker style co-op.

It would have been cool in the open world and with vehicles.

I had more fun replaying missions in PW than in this, MGSV isn't as addicting because there isn't a lot of things to create or you just don't even use any, there's no motivation other than to just get it for the sake of getting it.

PW's copy paste boss missions is what turn me away though. Sure they're challenging, but bullet sponge bosses with more sponge doesn't really do anything for me except become an annoyance to clear.

Ghost Photography and Pooyan missions were fun but very short and there wasn't a lot of them. What V needed was missions like those but on a grander scale. If we got the camera that was teased off in the MGO reveal trailer, that could've added a lot of bonus missions to clear as well. Photographing boss leaders for the rebel fighters, creating evidence of contraband, ghost photography, nature scouting. Sky's the limit.

I heard a rumor today that Konami was planning to release a side op editor, as the current leak of a level editor existing broke out a few days ago.

Not even a little mad.

Loved the game, no regrets here.

I'm fine with it. I had fun playing it, although I no longer play

Also, the story is a solid 8/10, even with the loose ends. Would have been 10/10 if they included mission 51.

I'm playing it now and I'm on mission 40.
I like it but its getting repetitive.

...

First time I saw that I was nervous. Every time after it was just a warning of how annoying the chapter will be.
