Do day 1 editions count? Because I really love Valkyria Chronicles Remastered's Steelbook. Wish more games had this.

Steelbook for a game I already want is pretty much instant buy for me. Artbooks for ants and anemic CDs mean nothing, just want those sexy cases.

Saw it for $60 at Best Buy about 6 months after the game came out and I'd never had played it before

80$, contains the game, an amazing case that looks cool and is super durable, and a 200 page journal of in universe lore along with other bullshit nobody cares about like a patch an a set of elite armor.

$30 bucks when the game came out. Its been sitting on top of my bookshelf for 10+ years. The loose Rai-ho was from a friends edition he decided he didn't like so I took the plushie.

read through it three times and discovered new things each time

Contrary to what you may hear Halo lore is still good.

It's had a few hiccups and 343 isn't exactly going in the direction most people would want them to, myself included, but a lot of the newer novels are very good and they are doing some cool things.

For example, in the journal, there were 2 pages ripped out. 343 released 2 pages covering what was missing to tie into current lore stuff a few weeks ago, pic related

Those aren't games. They're the Fates and Awakening OSTs that come in a reusable plastic wrap, which are pretty common for japanese soundtracks.

And no, i don't know japanese. Most of the jap games I own are import friendly.

Never took him out the box ever since getting the package but the quality is pretty nice for a special edition sort of thing. Sort of wish the next Monster Hunter would do that sort of deal since those plushes are pretty good.

Even Persona Q had CE available worldwide. Moreover, AtlusUSA tends to add more goods to regular edition preorders than some publishers do with their CE.

Ok I just checked and it's not actually the full soundtrack, just select tracks from previous games.

But I still doubt it will be as nice as the japanese CE.

I sadly bought into the hype and got one along with the regular edition. I like the game but now I have this CE sealed just sitting on my dresser.

It's just a box, an artbook and a cd with a few tracks. How low did you set your expectations if you think it's gonna be inferior?

Game kind of sucks, but the soundtrack is pretty good. Complete versions of P4's soundtrack (all of it) and the remixes from the rhythm game.

It was garbage, and not just because of the attrocious USB DRM soundtrack, but because everything else was literally worthless.

The soundtrack practically carried that game, just like Final Fantasy VIII, another terrible Squaresoft game at the time.

XCX's artbook is sideways for whatever reason, and it's floppy as hell making it hard to put on display and look nice. If you look at it for a minute and put it down the front page will stick up like a comic book

This is entirely because of personal taste (obviously), but I hate RPGs that have like a million characters. That was one of my main gripes with the game. I won't give a damn if something happens to someone in a party of dozens of charactrs because they don't flesh them out. I will admit the environments were kick-ass for the most part. I absolutely despised the battle system and honsetly the only reason why I even bothered was because of the sweet sowndtrack, one of the best in vidya history. I won't knock you for liking it, but Trigger was leagues better

Don't mention it, but for some reason that doesn't work when using the Sup Forums X plugin. I don't know if the plugin has it as a feature but I haven't been bothered to check.
