Was this the greatest GC game of all time?

Was this the greatest GC game of all time?

Nah, but it's a solid entry. Good choice for a launch title.

Not while Custom Robo exists.

Not while Melee exists.

My fucking nigga.

I prefer Metroid Prime, personally, but I definitely played the heck out of Luigi's Mansion.

Come to think of it, my sister loved Luigi's Mansion, too. We used to play together all the time.

Prime 1 + 2
Fzero
REmake
Super Monkey Ball 2
Viewtiful Joe

Eternal Darkness Sanity's Requiem was a pretty damn good gamecube game. Let alone a good horror game.

Path of Radiance

QUICK

YOU SAVED MIYAMOTO'S LIFE AND HE GIVES YOU THE KEYS TO MAKE LUIGIS MANSION 3 THE WAY YOU WANT IT

WHAT WOULD YOU DO

Add jumping.

Why tho? What would improve?

Make it VR (In about 5 years from now) and return to the original formula.

I haven't played the second yet, is it that bad?

Make it as spooky as the first, everything's pitch black until you clear the area. Very little contact with e gadd, no mission bullshit. Also make painting ghosts again, those fights were great and also unnerving in their own special kinda way.

No, it's pretty great. Or at least I thought so.

Not while Wario World exists

It's good but it isn't like the original at all, it almost feels like a spinoff
-Atmosphere went from "creepy but still cartoony" to "Scooby Doo Wacky Frights"
-Took out clearing one big mansion and made it "run through several different mansions to find a piece of the magic McMuffin"
-Turned mansions into missions, where you're restricted from exploring the entire mansion and are just railroaded through certain doors
-Burst vaccuming makes it easy as shit

I'm definitely missing shit. It was still ok though. But the original was miles ahead

yes

Why did Luigi's Mansion 2 have to be so shitty?
>let's take this really atmospheric game with an awesome setting and force the player out of it into the mission hub for more boring dialogue every 7 minutes
>collected boss pictures changing drastically based on the players score? Nah that might hurt the feefees of people who suck dick so remove that feature.

>mostly garbage flavor text every time you catch a boo
>a hell of lot of backtracking

I meant this for the first game if it wasn't clear.

paper mario ttyd, wind waker, melee, pokemon colosseum, mario sunshine. how did the gamecube get so many top-tier games?

maybe nintendo associated the gamecube's failure with it's software lineup and that's why they haven't released quality games ever since.

>backtracking
>bad

nigga i don't think you understand world building, do you?

It was fun, but not worth the launch price. It felt more like a little good technical demo of the GC's capabilities.

HOH YEAH

Not while the Resident Evil remake exists.

Give it the old survival-horror level design, like the first game.

>complaining about backtracking in a game that takes place in one building

I actually liked it because there was more incentive to explore the mansion and the rooms you originally beat.

Luigi's Mansion 2 treated backtracking like Satan and put in missions which was a terrible idea

>100%ed Wario World
>Have no feeling to ever play it again

idk why

>let's take this really atmospheric game with an awesome setting and force the player out of it into the mission hub for more boring dialogue every 7 minutes
Because it's a portable game made for train rides to work because Nips.
