So I just noticed they put this game on the eshop for wii u. I never played it before but it looks like it can only be played from the gamepad? Like both screens are on the gamepad, can anyone confirm this? That sounds really dumb.
And I also heard this game was awful, how is it really?
So I just noticed they put this game on the eshop for wii u...
>they port a game the uses entirely the bottom screen but haven't ported prime hunters with joystick support.
what the hell nintendo?
>Nintendo adding support to anything on the VC
Never going to happen
Game is alright I think, not quite awful.
People say they hate the revisits to the Temple of the Ocean King, but backtracking through each part of the temple takes like 5 minutes before you're at new shit, so it doesn't bother me that much.
Linebeck is a cool guy, the dungeons are nice, and the bosses are fun.
Spirit Tracks is shit though
They do that all the time though. A bunch of wii vc games got added gamepad support.
that's nothing outside using the the gamepad as a classic controller, fucking everything has 'added gamepad support'
I really enjoyed both it and Spirit Tracks. Backtracking isn't a problem in my books and the dungeons were decently well made (well I'd say they're better than the shitfests that are in TP) and the Whale King temple challenge rooms got alot better the further you went. Weakest point was definitely the bosses as the touchscreen gimmick didn't really favour fast gameplay and there was one bit at the end where your fighting the final boss and had to draw a 8 symbol (think it was an 8 or and hourglass) but it worked only 1/50.
Don't think it'd work as well as a wii u game though. Wasn't really a game you could marathon, was more a game where you play for 10-30 minutes then leave it and come back to
>put GBA games on the Wii U
That's fucking retarded, Nintendo.
>put DS games on the Wii U
That's FUCKING RETARDED, Nintendo.
>put SNES games on the 3DS
STOP.
my favorite DS Zelda game, desu
no i mean some games that you couldn't use the classic controller you can now use the gamepad.
It's a decent game. Not amazing but not as awful as some like to claim. The main complaint is the touch controls but I personally had no problem with them. The biggest flaw for me is that it's just kind of bland. Only noteworthy character is Linebeck, the setting is a retread of Wind Waker's, the items are all from previous games except reworked for touch controls, the dungeons are okay but nothing special, etc.
If they put it on the Wii U but not the 3DS that's really fucking bizarre.
Name one
t b h = desu? thanks Sup Forums
I liked Phantom Hourglass. It's probably the weakest Zelda but it's still fun.
They added in Wii pointer controls to Duck Hunt.
I'm sure they've done some other stuff, like adding e-reader levels to SMB3 GBA, and some extra content to Battle Network that could only normally be gotten by linking the games.
So, it can and does happen, it's just kind of rare.
those are different in that they're making a game playable and adding in content that should be accessible but they don't even do that all the time when they should
How do you do the puzzle where you close your DS on the gamepad?
First day?
Wherever you are from, go back. Do not stay here.
This is for your own good. For the good of everyone here, too, but mostly just for you. It's not worth it.
i enjoyed the shit out of it, yes except for the revisits to that blasted temple
It's the worst of the best Zeldas.
OOT > LoZ > MM > AoL > ALttP > LA > Seasons > TP > TMC > TWW > PH
Prove me friggin wrong Sup Forums.
yea, only on wii u, not on 3ds
Pretty sure there's an option to turn on sleep mode, like with the 2DS. But holy shit, I couldn't figure that out with an actual DS. Anyone playing on something else would be irreparably fucked.
yeah it's been a while.....
That puzzle made me feel so painfully stupid. I knew the top screen wasn't a touch screen but I tried dragging the icon up there anyway.
Near the end of the game there are a lot of shortcuts to get through the temple. I actually had fun getting to the end as fast as possible. It did suck doing it throughout the story, though.
TP was worse
It's a good game. Better than Spirit Tracks but Spirit Tracks is alright too.
Spirit Tracks is superior in just about every aspect
Spirit Tracks was worse but I enjoyed both
Spirit Tracks is way better.
No it's not. There's no exploration in Spirit Tracks which is a core thing Zelda needs. Its story is better but that's it. Ship customization and fishing in Hourglass is great. There's nothing in Spirit Tracks to do on the side like that.
Confirmed for not playing Spirit Tracks.
You get rail pieces as you progress through the game and there are a lot of places to go to. Within those places there is more to explore than there was in Phantom Hourglass.
ST has train customization, which is exactly the same as boat customization.
except it has train customization (better) and a bunch of sidequests(passangers, portals, hunting) and sideareas. Also it has rabbit catching (not as good as fishing)
I've played them both and liked them both but Hourglass is better. I have the guide for Spirit Tracks.
Spirit tracks is better than Phantom Hourglass in every single way minus not having line beck
Enjoy doing the same shit on every tower visit fuckboi
Train parts were awful in Spirit Tracks, blowing into the mic to play music was annoying, and the djinn were boring. However, the puzzles with Zelda were great and Link's unlockable outfit is cute.
>the djinn
? The what now?
Oops. I meant the locomo.
