I like this trend of jap devs taking demo feedback seriously
I like this trend of jap devs taking demo feedback seriously
This might end up being good
>Valkyrie Chronicles sequel
>SEGA
So how many millions will Sony have to pay for the rights to localize this?
It's a spin-off. Depending on the survey results of the english vc hd for ps4, they might do it themselves and also port it to steam
itll come, they havent released the hd remaster and the survey for the hd remasters of 2 and 3 for no reason
>demos are now called betas
>betas are now called demos
Seems like they are trying, but they shouldn't have gone off in this direction to begin with.
There's nothing wrong with a spin off in a different genre
>Valkyria gets improved after beta feedback
>Ni-Oh gets ruined after beta feedback
Its an undefined feel
Thank you, reddit!
This, it's nice they're listening to feedback, but there's no saving this game. The gameplay is all wrong and the designs are all wrong, it might become a more polished turd but it'll still be a turd.
>There were many harsh opinions
>still nowhere near a release date announcement
>more tactic
The game might be saved
Actually the demo was really just an awful concept level put together
That's fine when you actually have main games being developed too.
I hope we wind up with a good game, even if it isn't what I (and other fans) wanted.
Agreed, at least it's a spin-off
If they're willing to change the gameplay greatly there's a chance.Concerning the designs get over it. It's a more fantasy game in a new world you won't get your uniforms back.
I love this meme that we pretend the first VC was realistic
Pig that fly and commanders obsessed with nature and slutty bishoujo using laser beams are totally realistic man
Thats not the joke user.
DELETE THIS
Why is it that people pretend there is no difference between the tone of the first game and the others?
Why is it that people pretend a game series should have the same tone in every entry?
Because there is people pretending that VC3 is an edgy game
Why do people pretend a military academy is the same thing as an actual school
That's a step in the right direction, but I'm still not very interested. I just want normal militia people like the first game, not super special frilly dress wearing retards charging through enemy gunfire with a sword.
It doesn't have to, but when you end up with something like VC2 it's not unreasonable to say it should have stuck with what worked in the original.
Because it's presented like one.
Because the result was that they sold like shit when they didn't.
VC2 worked too, whether you like it or not. In fact considering the setting, a lot of VC1's cutesy bullshit made much more sense to be in VC2.
>more RPG-like
Isn't that actually the OPPOSITE of what people want? They want Valkyria Chronicles, not a generic JRPG with VC skin.
More TRPG instead of action.
Valkyria was a TRPG.
It's basically free focus testing except you're not limited by braindead retards who never played a game before and then your publisher uses that to fuck the game up.
>Field encounters have also been removed.
No random encounters? Speak plainly, goddammit.
>survey for the hd remasters of 2 and 3 for no reason
THIS I LIKE
VC is RPG-like. Or at least, it's more RPG-like than this thing's demo was.
The characters still look like stereotypical jRPG characters.
I like it better when everyone wore uniforms, or at least attempted to have a matching set of clothes (as in VC3) to make them look like a team.
It's not really true tough, the survey just has one generic "ask for ports and localizations" field. What's more, it specifically says it's only there because they know people would ask about it anyway.
The survey itself focuses on the series in general and the VC PS4 remaster.
>game directors are too incompetent to make good games on their own
>GUYS I LIKE IT XD
You cannot remaster a PSP game to look good on modern systems because simply putting it in HD will not work. Type-0 was a half-assed job and they bothered to actually rework some of the assets. You can also beta SEGA won't be sinking any money into remaking 2 and 3 like Squeenix because they knew that FF15 demo would sell the game.
Are you not aware games are tested by audience throughout development? This is the same shit except by much pool of people, done for free AND it gives the game free marketing. Only reason why you wouldn't do it is if your game is unsalvageable shit so you don't want anyone to realize that before they buy it. You know, kinda like why demos don't exist anymore.
So rpglike in this sense means turn base combat?
Pretty sure that had way more to do with it being released on the PSP in 2011 when practically every PSP was running CFW.
Eh, it was more realistic than the rest at least.
Though it was still anime as fuck, but that just added to the charm.
>He doesn't know this is how actual software development should be like
As a software engineer, this is a thing I wish would happen more often.
Even Kamiya used focus testing.
How they use it is the difference.
It was more down to earth, at least before the hurr durr magical valkyrie stuff came into play towards the end.
doesn't look like they changed much desu, they would have to scrap too much work that has already already gone into the game
The gameplay videos looked attrocious. I'm glad they are listening but I'm still sceptical until I see how it ends up.
It's still going to be shit. The art style is irredeemable and it's a huge slap in the face to make a large scale spinoff for a series with so few titles.
Would you rather that went full speed ahead on a direction nobody really wanted?
If it isn't on PC it's time to stop pretending it's relevant
>poorfag still can't buy consoles
You should be pleased to know this is happening at least partially because the PC version sold well.
>3 mainline games
It was time for a spinoff. There was nothing more to do with their system
The artstyle isn't so different you close minded cuck.
With literally no RPG beyond some arbitary levels.
So maybe it was just TG. And even then it wasn't really all that Tactical, so STG, Slightly Tactical Game.
>play against mage
>he gets the perfect curve draw and every single card he draws is the card he needs right that turn
First game wasn't very tactical because it was poorly designed, it wasn't intended. The last game perfected it.
VC3 remaster when though, imagine the things they could add to that game if not then just give me a localization..
Perhaps there is hope after all.
Unless they actually REMADE it they could add fuckall.
The series is still RPG in the loosest sense, even XCOM has more RP to it.
