I'm personally an Ibuki-bro, but I never had any hope for her to be one of the first DLC characters releases. Figured they were following the image with their silhouettes.

They could always turn Balrog into motion like they did with Vega.

They've recently been changing listings around and putting Ibuki before Balrog, so who knows

Most people seem to be convinced it'll be Ibuki first, then Balrog in July. There's also that one leak on the Shoryuken forums from a guy who leaked shit before and he said Ibuki would be next. He even said she would be revealed today.

Not having a counter-part happened with a lot of characters, especially if you consider it at launch:

>Charlie
>No Guile (fixed now)

>Chun
>No Juri (to-be-fixed)

>Cammy
>No Decapre

>Karin
>No Sakura

>Ryu
>No Akuma or Sagat (though Ken and Necalli still count, I guess.)

Even beyond that, there are some character ties that were severed: Shadaloo without one of its four kings (Balrog,) Laura without Sean, etc. Only one they managed to get is R. Mika and Zangief.

Ibuki before Balrog makes sense. She's not a charge character and both previous DLC characters have been charge. She's also female in a roster that is currently very male dominated. Also if Zenny shop launches this month, then it's a good time to release her so they can milk her fanservice costumes.

Obviously going to be the first on the list of the 2nd wave of DLC. She's the one way that they can save SFV.

How is Alex a charge character though? He has as many motion moves as he has charge moves, 3 of each, if anything he's a hybrid.

I personally like ibuki more but honestly couldn't care because I only play the aztec t-rex

I get beat by fireballs every game even though I know how to counter them, I can't express the dread I feel when I see the opponent pick Guile, what a nightmare

Not complaining about fireballs, just my stupid hands wanting to react to every thing that results in my getting counterhit comboed

Lol, twelve is a dumb character in every sense of the word, you'll never see him come back because nobody actually likes him and for good reason.

It's so weird to me to consider that a lot of the fighters from SFIII are actually younger in SFV now. Even weirder still to consider that many of the "young" people from older SF games are now with the adults in SFV too, like Karin and Sakura, where Ibuki and Makoto are technically where Karin and Sakura were in their Alpha days.

Don't know how they'll handle Sakura, but they've already shown Karin coming to age by changing her out of her school uniform, and other small details like her primary butler no longer being the fat dude. Hopefully they'll give Sakura a new moveset to showoff her studying or something since they won't take her out of the goddamn schoolgirl outfit.

You got it all confused, they gave him a comand gran in usf4 omega mode, and there where rumors that omega mode changes where going to be in sf5, which so far, some are true, but no way in hell they will make him a grappler

Nah, Remy fucking sucks, aside from his design, but I'm partial to that sort of thing.

As much as I'm shit at 3S, I like Twelve because of the style of his moves, changing his body into axes and shit, his design and what you could do with him, like the 720 to get the air super at the lowest height.

I'd be down for more Poison if they redesigned her moveset. Could've been really unique as one of the few fighters with a weapon, but instead we got a rekka/shoto hybrid whose only unique move was that leaping strike-grapple.

Honestly they both should have been in the base game regardless. SFV had a fucked up roster where many of the characters people actually wanted were locked behind DLC while a bunch of shitters like Mika, Karin and Charlie were there on release. I'm still mad about Guile.
