Copper Dreams

Anyone else excited for this game? An open world cyberpunk game where you go around doing missions for different syndicates. The combat system sounds interesting too with the wounds system. Also you apparently save using a radio and can't save at certain depths underground.

First KS game I've backed since the lowest tier gives you the game.

The low poly artstyle is nice. It's still better looking than Neverwinter Nights.

>tfw funding has been stuck around halfway for a couple days now
I want my NPC schedules dammit!

FUCK RPG CODEX

?

How is the Kickstarter going? Is Serpent in the Staglands anygood?

Is copper in the name a reference to the amiga's gfx co-processor?

It's more than halfway funded and Serpent in the Staglands is getting a free expansion with a new engine, ruleset, and some other changes.

Gotta viral this game here more, and back at the highest tier so it looks more appealing to people than it is, and then when they fund you can lower your pledge amount
t. Pathologic

This is the first thread I've seen people actually talking about the game on Sup Forums.

>half way funded in 16 days to go

God damn it, this game looks and sounds good and i am scared that it might not be funded.

>As an Agent of Asset Inquiries that syndicates hire to gather items, intel and citizens of value, you'll often be put through sensitive situations not to win but to minimize your level of failure and tackle conflicts with clever stealth (or lots of bullets).
>Cyberpunk
>no retroXD graphics but low poly

Fucking Sup Forums talks about that shit all the time, yet when a game approches with those features, no one fucking talks about it

I backed this even though I still haven't even tried Serpent in the Staglands even though I backed that too

I have brain problems

RPG genre was utterly shit for YEARS, it's good to support these oldschool projects even if you won't play them.

Kickstarter craze died down after a lot of failed projects and mediocre releases.

The game is already funded by the devs. They are begging for money so they can do a better game.

I hope they get some more publicity. I know they're going to do an interview on the Matt Chatt show but anyone who watches that most likely already knows about Copper Dreams.
So what do you guys think of the keyword dialogue system the game will have?

pls get funded ;_;

Yeah, but the game they can fund on their own doesn't have much potential. As they said it wouldn't really be an rpg, because that needs a lot more resources than what they have available.

And SitS sold like absolute dogshit, so not much extra funding from there either. It's fucking sad.

>So what do you guys think of the keyword dialogue system the game will have?

They haven't really explained how that would look like, but to me "keyword dialogue system" pretty much equals "Morrowind walking wiki terminals", which doesn't fill me with much hope. But since they said it would function kind of like a puzzle, that's hopefully not what they meant. Maybe something more like text adventure dialoge systems? That could work.

>And SitS sold like absolute dogshit, so not much extra funding from there either

A shame really. I tried it and while i couldn't get into it (guess it's a bit too old-school for me), i really felt the care and love that was put into the game.

I thought their previous game sucked so no.

The problem with morrowind's dialogue system in my opinion wasn't the keywords but the fact that every NPC recycled the same dialogue lines.

Yeah, I can understand that. I really wanted that game to succeed, even since they showed the first screenshots during the KS the art style gave me very strong Blood Omen vibes and I loved it. I'm genuinely surprised reaction to the grapghics was mostly negative. There are so many indie games out there selling well while looking much worse, it's weird.

On GOG it apparently sold a few more copies than AoD and Underrail, but Underrail never had a real sale (it had a -15% once), AoD had something like a -30% or so once, but SitS already had a -80% during the Insomnia, where it sold 1000 copies.

On the bright side, it means Underrail sold at least 1000 copies on GOG at near full price. Hurray?

I've already seen people complain about Copper Dreams graphics which is sad.
