A report provided by Yahoo Japan states that Nintendo’s next portable system is currently codenamed MH. While it’s not clear what the MH stands for it could simply mean Mobile Hardware. The report suggests that the MH and NX are separate platforms. We know that Nintendo is targeting a March 2017 release for their NX platform

NX and MH share architecture. NX is "always mobile" and can dock into home console for better graphics, and some home exclusives may not be mobile and require the dock. MH will be a cheaper, unlockable NX handheld.
But that's just bullshit. I don't know what to expect anymore.
It should be clear to people at this point that nobody really knows what the NX is. I'm sure it's already been leaked, but there is so much speculation, obfuscation, and outright fanboys looking for e-celeb status as "insiders" that it's basically pointless to speculate until Nintendo reveals it.
At the end of the day, assuming it is dedicated hardware, there's a fairly narrow range of products from a fairly narrow range of suppliers that would meet the requirements of Nintendo's fairly narrow range of possible form factors. And those possibilities have already been talked about on here and other sites.

Nintendo treated third party devs like garbage from the get go with the nes and their strict policies and rules on what third party devs could do.
They never treated them well.
Nintendo's business practices upset a lot of people and also using cartridges was more expensive than using CDs.
Smart business was to get away from the N64 and Gamecube due to unique forms of media that wouldn't catch on.
