What would the starting classes be in a sci-fi Souls game?

space cop
space soldier
space mercenary
space thief
space outlaw
space noble
space magician
space pyromaniac
space religious
space naked

nice

Knight
Mercenary
Warrior
Herald
Thief
Assassin
Sorcerer
Pyromancer
Cleric
Deprived

no classes. just former jobs working like the upbringings in Bloodborne.

Literally shadowrun

engineer
scientist
electrician
medic

they should drop it, just give you 10 point to allocate before starting the character and some generic gear to go by, then provide basic magic and miracle like sci-fi shit early on to customize your character.

>implying an engineer can't be an electrician
>imploding a scientist can't be an engineer and an electrician, or a medic

bad classes are bad.

Street Samurai

you could say the same thing about any dark souls class

Space Cop.

Jedi
Hacker
Neuromancer
Space hobo

no. because they are primitive and old timey world where you have to be superb at your stuff and it lasts your entire life.

unless sci-fi souls isn't sci at all this doesn't work out.

>Trooper (Knight)
>Officer (Hunter)
>Bounty Hunter (Warrior)
>Pirate (Wanderer)
>Smuggler (Thief)
>Engineer (Pyromancer)
>Medic (Cleric)
>Scavenger (Sorcerer)

Street Samurai
Hacker
Driver
Decker
Shaman
Rigger
Exhibitionist

I wish classes meant a bit more than just min maxing stats in souls games.

What are some good games where your class actually matters?

it's just a starting package

don't act like they're actually classes, or affect a single thing once the game starts

I'd switch the scavenger and engineer. the scavenger sounds more like someone that lives in a swamp and uses whatever he can find. even if it could harm him.

any MMO.

Pirates and Smugglers would basically be the same thing, probably.

no. start as a knight in dark souls 3. you will have no problem becoming a sorcerer

user, we need to talk

I think of a Pirate as someone who violently steals from others. They'd disable your ship, sprint aboard and cut your throat before you have time to react. They're adept at swift, fast combat.
A Smuggler would avoid conflict in favor of making a quick buck transporting and pawning goods. They're quick, but they avoid combat until they've taken measures to ensure they have an advantage.
