I absolutely dont want to shill this so Im asking for an honest opinion
Is this worth 60$ initial?
I know Sup Forums hates/loves this right now so I think this is the best place for an honest opinion

It's $40
It's $40
A) It's $40
B) If you enjoyed TF2, sure
C) If you like pvp where you WILL lose time to time and don't mind a fairly shallow but fun off and on game, yes
1. It's $40
2. It's the highest rated game on metacritic of all time (ALL TIME)
3. Just frigging get it. It's awesome.
Not really
I got it for $25 and I don't regret it but if I paid a full $60 I probably would have felt like I was wasting my cash a bit.
No. Try to get it at a discount. Paying $60 for this is suffering. Have you signed up for an amazon credit card yet, famtaro? Current promo is a $50 game card which you can use to get the game for free.
$40 on PC, $60 on console.
Don't be a fucking peasant OP, buy the PC version
>2. It's the highest rated game on metacritic of all time (ALL TIME)
There are only five reviews. Don't jizz your pants at least until it hits double digits
by game card I mean gift card
I got cucked by the origins edition because it was only 48 with Amazon prime and I love Pharah but her rain dance skin struck me as a bit too silly since she's not even amerindian.
How'd you get it for $25
Its a tf2 game in which the loot boxes come everytime you level up.
The gameplay is somewhat shallow, in which are are about 4-5 different gametypes.
You can easily get bored with the game
it's kinda overpriced right now, i'd wait a few months and buy it when it's got more content.
the game is very fun though.
Just by it on PC for 40 bucks
Don't be like me and buy the Origins edition and fall for the "spent 20 bucks on 5 terrible skins" meme haha
;_;
I found it pretty shallow.
There's lots of characters but most of them don't have any depth, the game modes are very quick and usually focused in a small part of the map.
I just can't imagine pouring a significant amount of time into it
this. just got mine for $4 lol
Its $40. Also don't say that you play on console.
This fucking game runs on a literal toaster. My graphics card died and I'm waiting for the new cards in June. I'm using onboard shit and I'm still pulling 50+ frames on medium/high.
This game is some sort of voodoo magic.
>Not having Amazon Prime
Am I doing something wrong then? Its 60 for me and I clicked PC
>Am I doing something wrong then?
No, you're shitposting just fine.
The game is designed specifically so 'everyone' can enjoy it. I'm not even memeing or applying any negative connotations here - it's quite literally tailored for casuals, so if you consider yourself one - get it, you'll most likely enjoy it.
Otherwise you should probably stay away, because it's a genuinely mediocre shooter.
mfw copped origins for a cool 40
Well, here's my take on it.
I loved Team Fortress 2 until around 2010/2011, when they started ruining the game with all the balancing bullshit plus the F2P
I fucking hate MOBA's, haven't enjoyed a single one of those.
I think this is the first fun class based shooter in years.
I think it's worth the 40 (I bought for 60 but it only gives you 5 more outfits, there are like 50 outfits in the game already.)
LETS MAKE ANOTHER THREAD ABOUT IT
Im not trying to shitpost, I just clicked the Buy button in the Blizzard client
holy shit thanks based user. made my day
I got you fampai
Dont buy it !
It is good
In my humble opnion, good, but not great.
A bad online game you can only have fun with friends
a good online game let you have fun with strangers
a great online game activelly helps you to interact and become friends of said strangers.
Such short unconnected matches dont help you to make any new ones.
>people are using amerindian outside of academic texts
WHY CAN'T YOU LIBERALS STAY CONFINED TO GRADUATE SCHOOLS?
you are buying the origins edition
Oh thanks man
>the 60$ is just 20$ of extra cosmetics on other games
why
Blizzard is milking every cent it can. I imagine the game going f2p in a year or two
>other games
Also five skins.
Still not nearly enough, but it worked on me. I'm even thinking of buying Diablo III, which I never got around to, since I already have battlenet installed and got the extra item in it.
Does it make it better or worse that I realize how easily marketing tactics work on me?
it's a useful term 2bh
Definitely not in just one year. F2P in two years is likely, though.
That's one thing you can say about Blizzard: their games will run on fucking anything.
Just wait for a price drop if you're worried about full price. You get a few advantages by waiting anyway.
>Cheaper game
>You'll know if the community will be dead in 3/6/12 months
>Mei
If you play other blizzard games, its pretty alright
You get like 2 characters free for Heroes of the storm (Tracer and a code in the box for a free Jaina too), Hearthstone overwatch cardbacks, plus a free booster pack (meh), Diablo 3 wings and some stuff for WoW and SC2
If Overwatch is the only Blizzard game you play and just want the 5 skins, fuck no. Aside from Pharah's and making Soldier 76 look cute, they're all pretty shit
It costs practicaly $200 over here.
No game is worth that amount.
Just like WoW right?
>metacritic
>falling for paid shills
why does Sup Forums not understand this?
Is it worth $45? I have GCU from Best Buy so I can get Overwatch right now fo $45. Is it worth it on PS4? Or is this a game that needs to be played on PC? No biased shit pls, be honest.
>Or is this a game that needs to be played on PC?
It's a first person shooter so if you're legitimately asking that, I'm surprised you even manage to wake up in the morning without asking someone else's opinion.
Shut the fuck up. There's no reason to compare it to a subscription based MMORPG that is constantly bringing in money in a monthly basis
Holy shit you fucking idiots. It's not $60, it's $40. The skins do literally nothing functional, if you like them you can unlock them if you really fucking feel like it but it's not 60 unless you're stupid. And if you have friends to play it with, then buy it. If you don't, then don't.
both versions are fine since they are balanced differently, though you are always better off buying on pc if you have a decent pc.
