I played the PS2 Odin Sphere when it came out and wanted to love it, but the framerate was rough and gameplay could have been better, this seems to fix both of those.

Muramasa got Rebirth. But yeah, Muramasa is my favorite game of theirs.

There's a skill that makes mandrakes your friends (the walking plants).
You usually have tons in your inventory so just drop them and use "mandoragora march" and watch all hell break looses.

It still looks repetitive as fuck. I love vanillaware and while most of their titles is repetitive, they still got me interested in finishing it. Odin Sphere on the other hand was a pain to play through 5 different characters. I think I'll pass

yea it's the base, muramasa has the same difficulty as well except it's locked at 1.

Then it's not the same difficulty. You can survive a few hits at 200.

You could survive a few hits at 1 HP in Muramasa with sword durability. In OS this mechanic isn't in place, so they accounted for that.

I got to her part and stopped playing because I hated playing as her just felt fucking awful. I've heard the remaster makes game play better though so hopefully shes better this time.

There's a common misconception that Sega owns Atlus.

Sega and Atlus are owned by a parent company called Sega Sammy. Sega itself is just a side company for Sega Sammy. Sega Sammy is actually makes pachislot and pachinko machines. And they pretty much give free rein to Sega and Atlus to do their own shit as long as they turn in a profit... which Sega has failed to do. Sega does help Atlus publish shit, but that's about it.

If you want a PC port, you'd still have to go and beg Atlus for it.

Cdpr has great standing. Bunch of independent publishers are not playing favoritism these days and try to reach consumers on all platforms (square enix for example, same capcom and Sega, and here I consider dlc and seasonal content is minor infringement at this point as it seems to be that everyone is doing it).

The difference is vanillaware is Japanese for one, and much smaller than any of the jap devs you listed. Jap devs especially smaller ones almost always favor sony. It's how it's always been.
