Is this the best game currently out on Wii U?
I suck at it, but I've sunken over 400 hours into it since December.
I've never played a JRPG before in my life, but this game is pure gold.

Almost everything from that list is god-tier.

Also I'm on the side that vastly preferred XCWii over XCX. You should snag it from the eShop, or just emulate it yourself.

The Wii U may be a dead piece of shit with no games, but it made Bayonetta 2 a thing, and that is beautiful. Nothing could be better. It beats PS4 and Xbone with that alone.

It's such a cool world and shit with fun game mechanics. From a technical and aesthetic standpoint, it's amazing.

Shame about the stories/characters, though. Couldn't care less about their struggle to survive. The disjointed side stories making a bigger picture concept did not work for me.

Of course, if you're playing these types of games for the story, you're doing it wrong.
Overall, the game's a 9 or 10/10 for me.

No, I know there are games, there's just a really small amount of really good ones, and nothing is coming out from now until the next system, it seems.
I have a whole shelf of Wii U games, but it's basically everything the system has to offer, except for Yoshi's Wooly World.

The Wonderful 101 and XCX are my favorites game son the console too.

How do I get good at combat, guys?
I keep getting rekt by opponents 6 or so levels above my crew, but I've seen videos where people take 100 lives off of nemeses that are like 20 levels over them alone.
What gives?

Those people decked themselves out with gear and augments that let them topple enemies endlessly. You won't be doing that until endgame

I want to say Xenoblade X is a solid 8.6 - 8.7. Flaws include

400 hours in; I've beaten the main storyline and am at level 51; just killed my first milosaur about 5 minutes ago.
If this isn't endgame, I don't know what is.
