What's the most fun build to play as?

I've never really focused on pickpocketing.

I like stealth archer.

You should try stealth archer.

Orc stealth archers are pretty cool.

I hate how depthless this game is. Morrowind and Oblivion weren't that fantastic, but at least they don't simplify everything like they did in Skyrim. Its crazy how people have so much fun with a game thats just incredibly boring.

mods.

Stealth Archer.

You should focus on stealth and archery.

Stealth archer assassins are very cool.

I like to do a bit of archery, and maybe stealth around some too.

Unarmed

>not maining sneak / pickpocket in a Bethesda game

An unarmed stealth archer? Could work.

Archery, with a little bit of stealth to mix things up.

I'll take some stealth with a side of archer.

My friend recommended to try a stealthy Archer so I did. Pretty fun!

2handed power swings only
Pure illusionist or illusion+alteration
Archery with the option to stealth when you need it

A greatsword strength barbarian stealth archer

Honest answer here

1 handed
block
armor of your choice
blacksmithing
speach

block skill is one of the only really fun skills that changes combat up and makes it so combat is not simply you running out of range when your attack animation is up and running back into range when its time to attack again.

blacksmithing and speech is good because you want some non combat skills around the start of the game so the level scaling is bumped up a bit and you arent playing the game on easy mode.

>speach

So, stealth archery?

40 keks

install morrowind or oblivion

(You)

in Oblivion I had a lot of fun playing as Orc and fist user. Haven't played Skyrim though

>playing garbage

You might try stealth, with some archery to get some kills in

My brother was a stealth archer. Me? I was an archer that used stealth. Mother was very disappointed in me, but Pa understood.

I always felt the same way. Block allows you to slow time or to shield yourself against dragon's breath and that adds a whole new dynamic. I guess arcane shield acts in the same way but fuck having a whole spell hand for that bullshit. And what's the point of playing a sneaky thief if you'll still have to 1v1 dragons in close combat.

1 shot dragons with sneak Crit dagger atk. Blade of woe is pretty good for that.

this stealth archery meme makes me never want to try a stealth archer build

Sword and board shoutin' Nord.
>Speech
>One Handed
>Block
>Heavy Armor
>If you feel like being OP as fuck, then Restoration, Alteration, Enchanting and/or Smithing

Make sure to get this mod so shouts are fun and worth using.
nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/41376/?

Never use Sneak, Archery or Destruction. You either breathe fire on that bitch, or you charge into melee range. Your heavy armor should make sure everyone knows you're coming too. It's more fun that way.

Battle Mage.
One handed and destruction/restoration/alteration spells in the other hand.
I plan on doing this on my next playthrough.
In my last run I did a dual wield only with some dual wield mods, it was pretty cool too.

>Skyrim
>builds
after the "legendary" update you can max out literally everything

Don't. Stealth archery's boring as fuck.
Sure it's funny the first few times you one shot a bandit, but eventually you realize how boring it is to just sneak past everything and one-shot it from afar. You might as well just use the console to kill everyone you run into. It's faster and more challenging than stealth archery is.

But by that point you've already done everything worth doing.

I don't know why nobody has recommended it yet, but you can't go wrong with a stealth archer

>this whole thread

it takes a couple of minutes to max out and reset a skill like illusion to infinitely rack up perk points

I unironically stealth arch in every RPG that allows me to do so.

So I need some help, I desperately want to play this again and get that feel I had at release about 4 years ago

>Whats the best difficulty to play the game through?

>What do I listen to while I play?

>What are some absolutely NECESSARY mods to amp up the games quality? I want my character to have some neat Full knight plate armor at some point that's nice and shiny

>aside from giving him some archery and stealth as a backup, what type of magic should I invest in to get the most out of my character?

Also what is the best archery overhaul out there, base arrow ballistics suck donkey cock and balls

I have a giantess fetish, can I make the giants into nude females with massive tits and let them squeeze me between their toes?

I'll always had a secret build that was fun as fuck to play with
Its basically this
Put a lot of points in archery
Then spend the rest of them in stealth tree

>it takes a couple of minutes to max out and reset a skill like illusion to infinitely rack up perk points
You're full of shit unless your definition of "a couple minutes" is 2-3 hours of spamming muffle or player.advskill illusion 999999999999

>I unironically stealth arch in every RPG that allows me to do so.

Dual wielding Orc Shaman wearing only light tribal themed armor and using alteration magic for actual defense.
Mix your offensive points between dual wield and destruction trees.

And use the shout that causes a thunderstorm as soon as you unlock it.

Funnest build I played in Skyrim and I tried many. A bit of a glass cannon at first but if you aren't a total scrub you'll find a way to level up and eventually become a badass.

Real answer:

The most fun build is what I call the "fey" build. You use illusion magic whenever possible and you're not allowed to attack anything. Use fascination magic to enrage, calm, fear, and whatever else to get people on your side. Stealth is important so that enemies can't figure out who the fuck is playing with their emotions, and speech otherwise.

>Make Enchantment potion
>Make Alchemy enchantment with it
>Cycle and repeat
>Max out at -100% magicka cost for two schools
>Spam dual Expert skills while constantly under Mage Armor Ebonyflesh

>master robes of illusion on farengar
Nice mods.

>fucking ritual spells to "level" the skill
You have to be level 100 to do the quest to unlock ritual spells, and by the time you're level 100 in a skill like fucking illusion then perks don't matter at all. It's like complaining that money is too easy to get after you max speech and blacksmithing and hoard insane amounts of gold ingots.

>9813421th character
>rush to the greybeards
>use iron dagger to max stealth in a couple minutes
>put all those points to mana
>rush down back to whiterun
>by that point I have at least 2k gold
>buy illusion skill, preferably muffle
>go to carriage driver
>equip muffle
>use muffle until mana runs out
>gradually pickpocket gold in and out of his inventory
>dual level pickpocket and illusion
>make pickpocket legendary a handful of times
>end up with maxed out illusion
>maxed out stealth
>maxed out pickpocket
>wear run of the meal clothes or "fine" clothes if I feel fancy
>walk into enemy strongholds
>loot the weapons out of all the enemies but one
>cast fury on said enemy
>watch him massacre his allies, then cast calm on him and loot everything and walk out right under his nose

complementarily
>pickpocket that one amulet that gives you speechcraft
>start azura quest
>wear amulet
>intimidate the dark elf ad nauseum until max speech

>travelling a road
>get approached by thief
>I'm wearing fine clothes, gold jewelry and shit
>bullshit the thief into thinking I'm poor
>he runs away
>as he turns his back I pickpocket him blind, clothes and all

I also take archery along with stealth

That took like 15-20 minutes in game, not under 1

Download werewolf mods and make a werewolf focused character.

So you finally admit that "builds" don't exist in Skyrim because Bethesda is a shit developer who doesn't give a shit about game mechanics

That depends

Which game has the best sex mods?

>I unironically stealth arch in every RPG that allows me to do so.

same

If it makes your penis hard then sure, "builds" don't exist in Skyrim.

Guess we'll just have to make up a new word for a set of skills and a specific playstyle to focus on while playing the game.

download prostitution mods and make a prostitution focused character

>illusion
>Doesn't have command Creature/Humanoid
>No Chameleon
Whats the fucking point?

Cliffus Shoutus

Race Imperial.

Skills :

Sneak - max

Alteration - max

Illusion - max

Shouts

FUS(fucking)-RO-DAH
you are the unseen shout

sneak on people and shout them off cliffs

get invisible

or

paralyze people who are not near a cliff, shout them up to one, shout them down from it

repeat

I must be the only person in the world who still plays Skyrim unironically on xshit360 ;_;

2h berserker

or if you really want to break the game; Sneak/Mehrune's

I've played a lot of times already

But in none of them I had so much fun as I'm having now as one handed dual wielder, it's amazing

>What's the most fun build to play as?

>sneak
>a non-close combat skill (destruction, archery, conjuration)
>illusion
>alteration
>get darkbrotherhood gloves early on

You probably wouldn't use armour, but alteration spells. Initially you will focus on getting a few backstabs before finishing the fight with your alternate skill.

Mid game you will have invisibility spell, detect life, silent spell casting. Then the game changes. It's no longer a question of "Can I kill all of them?" Now the game is "Which order do I kill these people in so that not a single one is alerted before they die?" You lurk in the dark making your choice. And then slowly and systematically slaughter them all.

1h + block is my favourite too.

It can offer a fun challenge on higher difficulties + combat mod

I remember trying this one, fucking hilarious.

Saved up enough money to rent a bodyguard and then went around spamming illusion magic.

Expert.
Original soundtrack nigga
Frostfall, vampire overhaul if that's your thing. Morrowloot, Live another Life, and Sexlab for your fetish of choice.
Alteration for a 30% passive magic resistance, Conjuration for summoned weapons.

you can't fix a game with mods
especially a game like skyrim

Can it work? I tempted to try.

I guess it could work. Cats have a bonus for unnarmed combat and there is a heavy armor perk that adds damage to your punches based off the armor(?) value of your gauntlets. Also, theres an enchantment for unnarmed damage you can put on gauntlets/gloves, I think you get it from a guy in Riften if I remember well.
Unnarmed combat is the same 2 moves shit that is armed combat though, don't expect any fancy fist fighting.

mods breh, mods.

>Dual wielding
>alteration magic for actual defense
But don't you have to go into the menu to change back to a weapon after using a spell?

ty famalam

Melee only

What do you mean "unarmed"

Is that when I put a bow in my hands and shoot at people from dark corners?

I like to go spell thief atleat after modding the fuck out of magic
>fight mages
>steal their spells and use it against them

you're telling me I can STEAL magic

Not with mods there's a good 3 or 4 mods out there that let you auto cast shit when conditions are met currently got 2 spells one that increases stealth when crouched and stoneflesh autocast when entering combat

Magic with mods is fucking amazing. Builds within builds.

Yeah I think the mod is called apocalypse spells, spell is called thought steal? Just cast it on the enemy and you'll equip whatever spell they have down to the last detail

Awesome.

I actually tried that mod but never got around to using that particular spell

What magic mod do you recommend

I got another awesome spell mod that doesn't have as much as apocalypse but these can level up independently which gives you talent points to put into extra shit like one spell
Cursed rune, unleveled it doesn't do shit but once you get some points into it it can do all sorts of shit like summoning clones (which has its own talents which can also proc) of those effected to fight for you or making those effected run in fear

I remember it now it's called forgotten magic:redone
What I just said and apocalypse spells, there's a necromancer mod with a some cool spells but other than that it's unfinished shit

Thanks to the perk system you never have to restart to try a new character, just start building in another direction.

I was a ninja like you. Then I took an arrow to the skill tree.

Any good underrated mods people might not know about? I got alot but the game still doesn't feel complete

He's lying. There is an easy step to get all the perks.
>cast telekinesis on object
>fast travel while telekinesis is on

>dude, mods
Mods don't make the game good. They make it more tolerable. It's like putting a pretty pink bow on a turd.

what do you mean?

I don't understand this supposed lack of build variety.

I play skyrim for mods,if skyrim got no mods I would not playit
So you can say mods make the game fun

Reminder that if you don't use Requiem you're a casual

>Skyrim
>build
Just max everything.

That's how it usually goes. Start as an archer or warrior and end up a jack of all trades by end game.

However Khajiit unarmed, wood elf sneak archer and dark elf necromancer have been my most fun builds.

I don't like complete overhauls. They tend to conflict with everything and have bugs out the ass.

Is this a Morrowind thread?

In singleplayer survival game I always go with ranged+stealth because thats the most survivor-like. Made me feel like I just make a great life choice.

Then I found this thread and there are 50 people recommending stealth archer.

I always go conjurer I love being able to amass an army of characters in any rpg

I played a generic, buff, blonde Nord and leveled two-handed, archery, sneak, light armor, and armorer. I was OP as fuck.

Probably one of only a few, yeah. I know I wouldn't be playing it anymore if it wasn't for mods.
