Uncharted 4 question

Why is Elena looking like that in this webm? What is Nate apologizing for?

He's sorry she has to participate in such a shitty production.

she realizes hes only truly happy doing this sort of thing and he apologizes for going on a tangent

Quit being so autistic.

>What is Nate apologizing for?

Being CIS scum.

She's looking like that because she's turned on by him and all the adventure

He's apologizing for not bringing her along from the start

Look at the size of that boy's head.

Any SFM Elena?

You're actually asking why a FUCKING WHITE MALE who can be beaten up by a stronk black womyn is saying sorry to another womyn for being CIS SCUM?

and stay there, bigot

So fucking glad Sony is taking a stand against you shitlords by including PoC in their games (that can beat up cissy white men)

>you will never find a girl that loves you as much and puts up with your shit as much as Elena does for Nate

just end me lads

He's apologizing for something he did previously to her in the story. He broke a promise and lied repeatedly to her.
Despite this the things she did for Nate are things most women wouldn't do for their husbands.

when she says "it's incredible" she looks infatuated with him though

It's easy user, first you just gotta trick a journalist to find funding for a treasure hunt in pirate controlled waters.

>when she says "it's incredible" she looks infatuated with him though

She realizes that Nate is truly happy when out on an adventure, uncovering history.
This along with other scenes is foreshadowing for her decision at the end.

She realizes right then how much all of this makes him feel happy and complete and he's apologizing to her for doing what he's always done and leaving her behind to do it. Which is why in the end she buys the salvage company for him and pushes him into doing legit archaeology so he can carry on his mother's legacy and do what he loves with her by his side.
>tfw he's literally living my dream life and I'll never have any of it

yeah this and maybe also because he sees the parallels between him and all the dead pirates oppestion for treasure realizing that if he keeps going on like that it could and badly for him

I want to impregnate Cassie

Holy shit is this real life?

Yeah, she sees how passionate he is about it and realized it is what he loves doing. That's a big part about why she loves him, (about why any woman loves a man in truth).

In those last few scenes, she looks exactly like Tara from Walking Dead

name one game with better facial animation than Uncharted 4

I think Nate and Elena are my favorite video game pairing.
Their relationship starts with one frauding the other into funding an illegal deep sea dive, and ends in having more adventures under their belts than they can count, and having to explain the exciting but shady shit they've done, to their daughter when she stumbles on Nate's little history trove.

I also adore the idea that ACTION LEGEND NATHAN DRAKE sucks as video games.

LA Noire (2011)

Witcher 3 you stupid sonygger

Is it rigged at the start that you can't actually beat her score?

Guybrush Threepwood died at that table

>I think Nate and Elena are my favorite video game pairing.

That's because it feels natural and genuine.
I mean what other pairing can you compare it to in videogames are being on par/better? Not many.

It's a shame that we'll never see a game as ambitious as LA Noire again due to how everyone got burnt out and the developer went to shit

They really are beautifully written and a perfect duo. I love them as well. And Sully. Always Sully.

she has the max score, you can only tie her

You really can't, right now.
Even L.A. Noire pales in comparison.

Yes, you can't beat it until the epilogue because that time it gives you an extra life worth 500 points (meaning you have to beat it first try and get most if not all the fruit)

What happened to Team Bondi? Have they made anything of note since then?

I think it's impossible. If it wa the original game I could see it, but that slightly off emulation makes it pretty fucking difficult to pick up all the wumpa fruits.

Kind of the point anyway, since Nate is supposed to be terrible at it.

>Even L.A. Noire pales in comparison.

No it doesn't, that whole game was built around facial animation. You had to watch closely to see their expressions, and determine if they are lying etc

The graphics aren't as good, but it definitely has better facial animation.

I can't help but notice how much of a mass murderer Nate has become.

That fucking kill count.

Rockstar killed them shortly after L.A. Noire I think. They were working on something called Whore of the Orient, but I'm pretty sure it's long since cancelled (and SJW's already threw a fit about that title anyway)

Regular facial animation tech has gotten a lot better in the ~5 years since LA Noire

The whole game was built around clue finding.
The faces gave away nothing except "now pretend to idle suspiciously, actor that is sitting in a chair"

could be anything

>being white
>being male
>farting recently
>sitting with his legs spread too far
>talking passionately about something interesting and not realising the woman was bored 10 minutes ago
>leaving the toilet seat/lid in the wrong position

>Game has been hinting at someone close to Nate/Nate himself dying since 3
>"A Thief's End"
>Nate gets to live happy ever after

you ruined that shitpost with the image name mate

1/10

No, but it is real time

>Regular facial animation tech has gotten a lot better in the ~5 years since LA Noire
thanks to LA Noire.

The only one I can think of is Yen and Geralt. If you remive the whole sorceress/mutant aspect they're like two parents who've been married for a while.
It's not often we see genuine long term relationship shown like Yen/Geralt and Nate/Elena. We usually have crappy fairy tales where it's a perfect relationship.

So because they hinted at it that means someone had to die?
Also what is wrong with a happy ending?

what do u think elenas pussy smellz like?

probably never; at least not with any models actually ripped from the game. ND didn't like how people ripped TLOU models off the PS3 version

"'Fun' is such an interesting word. We took it off our focus tests. It was just a weird word that people were getting hung up on."

"It used to be, 'How fun did you find this level?' Now it says, 'Overall, how would you rate this level?' Druckmann added. "It becomes less about, 'Did I have fun? Did I have an interesting challenge?' and more about, 'Did I like it?' And I hope people interpret that as, 'Was I engaged? Would I recommend it?''"

As a side benefit, Druckmann says removing the word "fun" from Uncharted 4 focus tests actually caused test scores to rise dramatically.

>You once told me that Tacoma, Fullbright's follow-up to Gone Home, is your most-anticipated game of 2016.

Maybe subconsciously. It's not like we played Gone Home or Firewatch and said, Oh, we've got to get more of this in our game. Usually when something is just a cut scene, there's going to be someone who says, "Should we make this playable?" That's always a motivation: How can we put more of it "on the stick," as we say?

You've said in the past that you've been influenced by Anita Sarkeesian's Feminist Frequency videos and the larger conversation about diversity and representation in games. How did that affect Uncharted 4?
When I'm introducing and describing a new character to our lead character concept artist, constantly she will ask, "What if it was a girl?" And I'm like, "Oh, I didn't think about that. Let me think, does that affect or change anything? No? Cool, that's different. Yeah, let's do it."

Initially, in the epilogue, it was Nate's son. Something similar happened with the mansion they go into. That was an old English guy's house. She asked, "Well, what if it was a woman?"

You have some sexist focus testers who were really upset by Nadine beating up Nate, and really upset at the end when it was Nate's daughter. To the point where we had to ask one guy to leave.

- Naughty Dog creative director Neil Druckmann.

until dawn

Nothing because she's a fictional video game character and therefore does NOT exist

Interesting. How did people manage to rip the models off TLOU and why can't they do it now with UC4?

Also, why do they care if people do this or not?

Paradise m8. Paradise.

When the first post is indeed the best post.

>best facial animation

Funny that if uncharted was an actual real life movie, it would be pretty mediocre.

not bad actually. I haven't played this but I kind of want to check it out now.

>Point L-Stick in one direction and mash X to climb
>Meme-hooking
>Box-pushing from The Last of Us
>Bland, boring cover-shooting
>"Whoa the thing you were on just broke!" x100000
>Sliding
>No mystical elements like 1 and 2, at least 3 hinted at them
>Libertalia, a boring ass pirate commie-commune (Off the top of my head a better place to go to - Atlantis)
>"Hey guys my brother I thought was dead that Sully and I have never ever mentioned before to anyone, not even my wife, is back!"
>le strong black womyn that can take on two hardened fit capable men
>"Drake you should go to Malaysia illegally, it'll be fun, don't be a pussy~ ;)" "OMG DRAKE YOU WENT TO SOME OTHER PLACE ILLEGALLY WHAT IF U DIED OMFG IM SO MAD"
Why does Sup Forums like this game again? It's worse than 3.

>Also, why do they care if people do this or not?

Because the creators probably don't like the SFM porn with all the characters.

Not recognizing emotions by facial expressions is a sign of autism OP.

especially not Ellie

She looks like that because he's practically assaulting her with his mansplaining.

He apologizes for this, and his white male privilege.

How is this not clear? Nate(Naught Dog) is only a world ''white male'' apology tour. It's also why he takes a beating from the black chick.

so what emotion is she expressing then?

Aside from technically being stealing and using copyrighted property, it also means they were using an underage girl character model for porn, which is, you know, bad. So double whammy of illegal basically.

it would be a pretty cool TV series, which is kind of like what it is. Uncharted games are essentially adventure serials

> which is, you know, bad. So double whammy of illegal basically.

It's Bad, and Wrong. Would you say it was Badong?

>japan
>hentai market is seen as a natural extension of the anime\vidya market
>america\whatever
>"noooo dont make porn of our characters ;_;"

I really don't understand this prudish conservative bullshit sometimes

and this is why videogame/journalists/reviewer are such a bad medium.
Oh it's a movie within a game? 10/10!!!!

Yeah, thats why she buys him the fucking search vessle to search for more death right?

idiot

I always got the feeling that Nate was apologizing for his running off. He sees himself in the 10 pirates that died 'in an instant' and he is realizing just how lucky he has been on all his adventures. Because it only takes one strong gust on wind in the middle of a jump, or to miss the landing and break a leg, or for a mercenary to shoot him, or for a rope to snap and so on, for him to be gone 'in an instant'.

Despite the reputation of these pirates, they were all cut down in their prime. The same could happen to Nate, who has developed his own reputation between other thieves and treasure hunters. (Reputation is one of the themes of the game)

All the Uncharted subtitles never refer to the characters, always the historical figure except maybe Among Thieves.

What decision? I haven't played it

Man the face animation is incredible
Almost makes me want to buy a ps4
Not gonna do it until this shit tier gen is over tho.

Tell me familia, does Sully survive the game? I'm not gonna buy it if he dies.

>Why is Elena looking like that in this webm?
I guess I don't expect anyone here on Sup Forums to understand what an aroused woman looks like.

Looks like there's a single non-autistic user left on Sup Forums after all

ND are liberals

>retards like Yahtzee have been saying Sully would die or turn evil ever since Uncharted 1
>always lives, still a bro

Its good and kinda creepy. Figure out how to survive on your own. Even if you know the twists, it good to figure out how to keep everyone alive.

I want to throat fuck Elena.

But also since. And Uncharted 4 shows that.

She's looking at him like that because she's reminded of why she fell in love with him in the first place. She is infatuated.

Superficially, he's apologizing for going off on a tangent about the pirates. But really he's also apologizing for lying to her about his return to treasure hunting. She accepts, and at this point she realizes that he only wanted to do all this because their normal lives were getting so boring compared to their pasts. This is why, at the end, she does the salvage co thing

It's complicated.

She's still mad at him for lying to her again, but she sees that he's truly passionate about it, but it seems like it's something that is consuming him above all other things, and eventually will lead to his death, especially if he keeps getting into these huge gun fights and terrible situations.

She appreciates the passion, but recognizes that it's a terrible addiction too. And it this moment she sees that she can't stop him, but also that she must.

It's complicated.

>uncanny valley
>best facial animations

no

>When a woman looks at a man, it is almost always because she wants to fuck him.
I think there's a little more complexity in this piece than in any of our anime lady video games.

But Elena loves treasure hunting with Nate

no, when she stares at you like in that webm that is exactly what it means.

the acting is movie-tier

i don't really think any of what you just listed is actually bad. apart from maybe the repetitive/dumb climbing.

>meme-hooking
>sliding

what

Technically, it's thanks to Heavy Rain since they did that kind of capture first.

>she looks infatuated
This is why you don't have a GF. Shes patronizing him because she can see he's lost in the romance of adventure and he isn't going to stop lying to her as long as he can go out and get his kicks doing this shit.

Later when he gives up the oppurtunity for treasure to save his bro is when she forgives him.

Yeah. She wasn't invited to this though. He lies to her and goes off on his own.

HE WAS TALKING OF PIRATES SUDDENLY DYING

SHE DOESN'T WANT HIM TO SUDDENLY DIE

no. Elena doesn't hate adventuring like Nate (or you) thinks she does. In fact she enjoys it. She was only mad because he lied to her and went off and did it on his own at first

Of course she does, but she doesn't want to fuel an endless obsession that could lead to certain death. She's conflicted because she likes doing this with him, but knows it's ultimately going to kill him and possibly ruin the lives of others as well.

At this point she doesn't see the solution. She knows that she can't keep fueling him because it will and has led to bad stuff in the past, and she knows they can't try to live a "normal life" because they both will be terribly unhappy, and it would just lead to lashing out like this again.

It takes her until the end of the game before she realizes there's a middle ground. That you don't need to "steer too hard" one way or the other.

This is actually one of the most interesting scenes in the game, and I will argue that even though her performance wasn't the best most of the time, I think she did a good job communicating the mixed emotions.

Where did I say she hates adventuring?

Also this is me literally saying she loves adventuring.

At that moment she sees Drake lost to the 'adventure'. She see a drug addict getting a taste after being sober. She still has feelings for him and doesn't want to ruin the moment of the 'grand discovery', but she also sees this never stopping.
Until of course they mar sue the fucking ending and he stops, becoming mr responsible dad, and every lives, and sully survives another 15 years, quits smoking, and everyone is happy.

TLDR : Writers don't know about tragedy. Actors save the day.

They're not treasure hunting at this point though. They're trying to find his brother -- Nate is getting caught up in old ways, that's why he apologises.

In the ending though they're doing things a lot more legally, and probably a lot safer too.

Sully and Sam are off doing the illegal shady treasure hunting.

How is Sully still alive at this point?

When old people stay active, they do actually live at longer.

I know that I'm going to be a lazy old shit and my mind is going to fucking shrivel and my muscles will atrophy, and I will live like a fucking vegetable 10 years after they should have taken me off life support

>I mean what other pairing can you compare it to in videogames are being on par/better?
