I for the life of me don't understand how anyone but paid tech jew salesmen can get excited for $600+ graphics cards
These things depreciate in value in a year. I swear all of these people are paid to just advertise their expensive crap that nobody needs.
99% of games run perfect on garbage tier hardware. I for the life of me don't understand this PC community
This is coming from a guy that has used the PC as his preferred platform to game on for a decade

Why spend the minimum when you can save up, spend more, and get a better experience?
A10-7700k vs i5 6600k and GTX 1070. Just saying, but 4K 60 FPS is approaching on demanding games, and sure as shit not in console, especially not with an APU.

Do you get benefits posting on message boards for creepy basement shut ins or is it just a hobby?
Sebastian Martin
>99% of games run perfect on garbage tier hardware. this is true and for the most part i agree with everything you've said
but a friend of mine is more into the technical aspect of these new cards. he loves to play video games at max settings, but he also loves reading over technical specifications and how shit has increased by 1.5 performances
Owen Watson
>why can't I have disposable income like everyone else :(

Cry me a river OP. Abloo abloo ;-;

be grateful there are people who buy the newest shit to fund R&D. otherwise your average budget card wont be so budget either and you'd be stuck on nintendo hardware forever

It's my money I'll spend it how I please.
Luis Flores
ok. still doesn't change the fact that even a 300$ card like GTX 970 destroys any console. the more expensive cards are only needed if you want Ultra settings on 4K
Leo Ward
But this like getting excited about it raining. Ever time there is a major process shrink its the exact same thing. They halved in size which means they can fit double the transistors on the same size chip.
Its not like these super high clockspeeds are new. The GTX580's shaders clocked way above 1000MHz and people pushed them a lot higher than stock.
I understand why a business that needs a fuck ton of compute performance gets excited but the high end gaming scam is the biggest bunch of corporate BS ever.
There are compute chips that already have tens of thousands of parallel cores. They never clock them high so they are terrible for gaming.

This post right here is the example of someone shilling for a company. Really what you mean is we need to hype up a bunch of rich retards to jew them out of their sheckles. I've met millionaires dumber than most of the saddest basement dwelling neckbeards
I could build 10 PCs for the cost of a GTX1080.
Ryder Jackson
>These things depreciate in value in a year.
People are excited for the performance not about the price, you fucking retard; and no not all games run perfect on budget bin shit your mom bought you for x-mas.
James Robinson
Cool and not a single one of those would be able to do some of the things a 1080 can.
If you have a purpose for buying it a better card isn't a bad idea. If you buy a 1080 and all you do is play is Binding of Isaac then yeah you're retarded.
Connor Hall
Its new so I must have it mentality is a great marketing gimmick for jews
They use the same thing to sell $50,000 sports cars.
The only reason you would need a set up that powerful is to run the newest multi 4k projector setup (thousands of dollars) in an elaborate home theater.
Rish people have shit like this to entertain people. They rarely use it and sell it as soon as the new shit comes out and make almost all their money back.
Unless you are that wealthy you are being scammed paying $1200 for two graphics cards that drop in value from you only opening the package
Blake Thompson
Because spending more on the platform doesn't make the games themselves any better if they already run well on a midrange setup.
Grayson Gomez
cool
Oliver Lee
Or playing them maxed out at 1080P on bargain bin hardware two years later. Why is playing shit good just because its new and looks pretty?
If you actually have a fucking life two years goes by before you even realize it. Then you could sit down and enjoy a game you haven't played before
Connor Young
Sit down, son, and let me explain something to you:
We live in a world of pleasure. Where luxuries and entertainment often take precedence over raw necessity. If you are financially well off, chances are you will buy something you don't need but something you want. For some people out there, this happens to be graphics cards. For others, it's sports cars, or jewelry, or any other unimportant thing.
It's called not being poor, when you aren't poor you get options. Comes with the territory.
Camden Jones
>They use the same thing to sell $50,000 sports cars.
This is a dumbfuck analogy and let me tell you why.
A more expensive, faster car doesn't actually enable you to do anything but go faster or look better doing it. They do the same thing, just one is faster, there isn't some function you are barred from doing by picking the cheaper car.
A faster graphics card can be good for things outside of playing the most graphically intense video game at high resolution and framerates. If you use your PC as a workbench it can actually enable you to do work with it that you otherwise wouldn't be able to do on a cheap computer.
Yes, people who buy top-end cards do and should have the displays to actually get use out of it. Thanks for the common sense statement you fucking dumbass.
Luke Roberts
Most people don't. There are a lot of ultra wealthy people that live like normal people
Sebastian Gonzalez
>this delusion
Lincoln King
You're so fucking dumb.
"Normal" people buy a new cell phone once a year because its incrementally better than the last one and LITERALLY doesn't do anything special or new.
Those phones cost as much as a top of the line graphics card, also, a card which offers much more power for the dollar and can actually improve workflow or recreation.
Josiah Scott
then you buy workstation parts for the simple reason that they come with warranties that allow you to blow through numerous GPUs.
Why do you think workstation GPUs cost so much? Its not the hardware itself but the support and warranties. You wouldn't use a regular gpu for serious work. Unless you consider rendering videos, 3d animations (they have farms for that), and encrypting shit work.
Face it you believe in blowing through money because you like to. I've had my time in extreme self indulgence. I could be having more fun now if I lived in moderation
Angel Davis
I don't do any of that shit. I'm happy with an old piece of shit out of date iphone. I have my excess but I actually understand moderation.
Its funny to think we depend on an economy that relies on excess spending. As soon as you people can't afford your mansion you kill yourselves
Rich people make me laugh. Literally a bunch of happy farm animals.
Chase Clark
>You wouldn't use a regular gpu for serious work. Unless you consider rendering videos, 3d animations (they have farms for that), and encrypting shit work.
1. Why would you not consider these work 2. Top end video cards today can do the job as workbench cards and especially since we're talking about the new generation coming out soon.
