Cancer

I also have muscles that large, can I join the seals now?

Weak, stupid and insecure just like real life

Women should be exterminated.

>put girl face on man body
>call it a girl

They should learn from the japs on how to make traps instead.

As Nostalgia Critic put it: Trying to make a strong, independent woman trivializes her character. She's not going to be strong and independent because of what she has to go through and the challenges she faces, thus giving her problems to overcome and making her stronger - instead developers just make a woman character and say she's strong and independent without any form of reason as to how she is or why she is other than the purpose to appeal to the masses of "muh 21st century girls!". There are a few exceptions out there that do this type of character well but almost twice as much do it poorly, simply aiming to get away from female "stereotypes" and make a character that will fly with the crowd and honestly has been blindly accepted.

>citing Nostalgia Critic as reputable source
FUCK man

>As Nostalgia Critic put it

Completely unnecessary and pretty much ruin every game they are in.

Fuck off

>"Someone who's more successful than me; I must discard their opinion to be my own man!"

Always made out to be badass and "need no man" yet we all know these women don't exist.

Whatever you say buddy.

E-celeb or not, I do agree with his opinion.

Funny you should say that when you would probably agree with what the quote says if you actually read it.
Protip for the future: disagree with the message, not the person. Disagreeing with the person is what sheep do. Are you sheep?
Yes. Yes you are.

Unrealistic wish-fulfilment for womanchildren.

Nice rebuttal. Keep on channing, famalam :)

So much for realistic shooter

Might as well make a NK unit that is godly and over 5'7"

Fuck off mate. Your newfaggotry is showing.

Christ, what the fuck is this? Can you subhumans fuck off back to wherever it is you came from.

Tokenism =/= progress

I'm a liberal and even I'm dismayed at how forced and insecure it seems when developers do OP picture. Just put a woman in the cast, don't bring attention to it, write her as you would write anyone (organically growing and changing based on plot) and that's it. Women should be offended by how condescending it is that tokenism passes as inclusiveness.

They're a character like any other? I wish developers' idea of "let's a make a woman tougher or more engaging!" wasn't just "let's make her more like a man".

>Le reddit boogeyman
You literally couldn't give a more sheepish retort.

To be fair, that's a fairly good point.

Making her only defining trait her being a STRONG INDEPENDENT WOMYN, basically reduces her to a 2 dimensional character, just the same as having her being a weak, sniveling Damsel.

Something like Ellen Ripley is how they should be done, a woman who starts of completely out of her depth, who over time toughens up and becomes a badass who goes through hell to save people she loves.

Or like Sarah Connor, starts off as a normal girly college girl, and ends up becoming a badass with massive PTSD, but still able to kick ass if needed.

They need nuance and an actual character arc if they're to be taken seriously, putting them in as an insert just makes them a joke.

Are girls allowed to wear make up and have their eyebrows done while in the military? I don't know how I feel about that

they improve vidya

every male should be replaced a qt girl. I'll honestly say that I would drop half the games I've played if there wasn't a girl to entice me, like Banshee in that 3DS ghost recon game or lulu in FFX

>female navy seal

It doesn't bother me so long as they aren't the TUFFF GUUUURL tropes. You know the one where the female character is introduce by beating the shit out of an established powerful male character just to validate her presence.

One major reason why it's a bad idea to empower women in video games is that women are VERY BAD at separating reality and fiction.
If games tell them they can be soldiers and heroes, they'll eventually end up believing it themselves. And then everyone else will suffer when they realize they can't actually be those things.

Enjoy dying in a house fire because the girl who passed fire-fighter training on easy mode can't lift or drag your unconscious body.

My uncle has been a lifelong Democrat and liberal, and has always voted along party lines and staunchly supported them. This year's the first year he's actually considering third party options, because he's pissed off about how crazy they've become.

That's a man

>that Samoan cultural appropriation
Why is this allowed? Its not even generic tribal tattoos its literally a traditional Samoan design. Women arent even supposed to wear ones like that.
Its a Samoan male tattoo on female.

Why Rey has less personality than cardboard.

white* female

Her gadget is very useful, that MPX is a fucking headshot machine and the spas is the best shotgun in the game by a wide margin. I approve.

>Enjoy dying in a house fire because the girl who passed fire-fighter training on easy mode can't lift or drag your unconscious body.

This is why I object to the whole equality in everything, and lowering standards to achieve it. Someone might actually die because of that practice.

I can guarantee I've been here way longer than you. I used to be like you, trying to fit in with Sup Forums-culture for no other reason than to fit in, lashing out at anything that broke from the hivemind. Then I grew up and learned that you can actually look past the bandwagon you're on, and see reason even from people you usually disagree with.

Hopefully they actually flesh her out some in the next films, or at least give the others more screen time.

I'd be happy to see more of Poe, Oscar Isaacs is pretty awesome.

>Nostalgia retartic

Kill theeself

I like Samus and Lightning. That's about it.

Samoans better stop using the internet and running water then, since they're appropriating white culture and traditions.

Stop posting.

I'm a professional game developer.

What I like to do is take a generic male marine character, give him a set of tits and long hair, then make everything he says be forced quips about girls being better than boys.

There you go, the perfect female video game character.

Poe and Finn were 10x more interesting. Finn was more the protagonist really. Ray was just the mess he followed.

That's a good point. It is self-serving bullshit that developers and their writers can only think of woman fitting in their games if they behave more masculine. How would feminine attitudes (which exists in both man and woman) solve problems in a war scenario? That's a game I'm interested in.

For those of you who believe that violence seem from a feminine perspective is impossible, go watch Alien 1 and 2.

>le false equivalecy
why do cucks like you always resort to fallacies? insecure much?

I think its embarassing that women try to be more like men.
Its like they don't find any value with being a woman. The amount of selfhatred .... i dont even know tbqh family.

>Tattoos

Disgusting

There was a female assaulter in rogue spear already.
The polish one.

Shes hot, except ingame for some reason her face is squished compared to that picture.

And incase anyones wondering, shes not really a token or "GIRLS CAN FIGHT TOO U KNOW" character because characters dont talk that much in R6S, and there were already a few female characters from when they started making it

Wouldn't men need the same thing then? So no character can ever start out strong or independent? ARE YOU SAYING FUCKING MGS3 HAD A SHITTY CHARACTER??

Nothing fallacious about it m8, those are products of our culture right there.

...

Attention Pandering whores.

see

Running water is the earths cultural, they started it first with waterfalls.

Your post just fucking screams Reddit, fuck off.

>muscles
>SEALS

SEALS ain't got time to be beefheads, bitch

Well if they're in the military they're not going to be wearing dresses.

well, its fiction so i dont mind them, but i like accuracy so if a game tries to be realistic and it puts women into responsible, strength and leadership requiring roles then i cringe and stop playing.

No one really starts off strong and independent. They become so because of their environments and the challenges they face and overcome. If a character is given to us as already strong and independent, then the developer or story-teller should let us in on what made them that way and show us their character. Not because that should be a standard for strong independent characters but because that's just decent story-telling practice. On the opposite hand, if I were to give you a character that's frail and fearful of everything, you would want to know why and the same goes for a strong and independent one. If we go through the whole game without so much as a reason as to who they are and where they've come from, and instead, are given a character just for the sake of being that token character, then it comes off as being rushed or just careless which is an insult to that character and what they represent.

We then ask, "Why should we care about this character?" And the reason we're given is "Because she's strong and independent" just doesn't cut it and it disservices the type of character they want to represent, especially when they so proudly and prominently display such a character as the face of their product like in OP's image. If they give us no reason to care about the character, then why should we?

I'm okay with it, but the majority are all attention whores.

Good player equals bad person in real life and this is no exception for women.

Aliens especially. I don't think Ridley would could be the same character if she was played by a man. She's still tough as nails though.

The first 30 minutes of Metal Gear Solid 3 involve Snake setting himself up as a badass, then getting completely destroyed by someone much stronger than himself.

In the process, he loses his mentor and mother figure and is shown to be extremely vulnerable as a result of it.

Great, if not made by western devs.

Okay when they aren't shoehorned in

They're only good when they're written as waifu/fap bait

Fine as long as I can fax to them

How dare you offend Vinning by calling him a SEAL
You'll be dead by sundown

Fap*

Goddamn auto correct

>implying they'd give you their numbers

Valkyrie is cute!

>I wish developers' idea of "let's a make a woman tougher or more engaging!" wasn't just "let's make her more like a man".
Or alternatively, "Let's make her a man-hating bitch who views herself as proof that women are the superior sex."

>not teaching your phone words like 'fap' 'cheeki breeki' 'waifu' and 'newfag'

...

literally this

What did she saw?

That seems fair but
>They become so because of their environments and the challenges they face and overcome.

What if you're just born with a high threshold for fear and a shit ton of genes related to bravery. Does any reason work?

Wow, she almost doesn't look like a dried-up sad cunt there.

>write her as you would write anyone
It's ironic that that's what SJWs say they want, but in practice, they hate it. Femshep was basically written that way, and she was criticized as "just a man with boobs".

JUST

Not for women, no.
They can't even produce the same amount of testosterone as the weakest man.

...

I don't mind if they act strong and arrogant, if I can put them in their place then there's no problem. It's only when they're immune to consequences, like that black bitch from DAI, that I take issue with it. My character has the power to have her brutally raped and murdered by guards but I can't do anything about her causing me grief in my own castle. Absolutely unrealistic and unacceptable.

Is that Zaryas sister?

She has seen the darkest depravities of man and can never unsee them

Seems fine to me, until they start using them like tokenism for special snowflakes
>i.e Nadine in Uncharted 4

>Being nothing but reasonable
>REDDIT
Ah yes, the response of someone who actually has no response. So satisfying.

public.navy.mil/bupers-npc/support/uniforms/uniformregulations/chapter2/pages/2201personalappearance.aspx

All branches of the military are pretty goddamn strict about personal appearance. Although this game is probably some "covert ops off-the-grid" bullshit where every member gets to be a special snowflake and has some retarded nickname.

Spoiler:
Both women in that image are the same age.

>No women, no kids

Do you understand what you just typed? Is this bait?

Let's say, for that reason, you have a character that was born into that type of bravery. Then we should see how far their bravery takes them and perhaps what downfalls it causes them along the way. Maybe they begin to take their bravery and victory too far and underestimate the challenges before them and thus become defeated which shatters their perspective on life as they know it. Or maybe their bravery jeopardizes those around them or even makes others feel less about themselves. Think about a character who too tries to be brave only to be outshown by this character who appears to be flawless. Characters like you mention can be done well but at the same time, if they're just presented to us as that without any conflict and are essentially "flawless", then there's no humanity to that character or relation to which we can connect with. The things that make characters interesting to us is our ability to relate and if we're given characters that are without flaw and without conflict, then we find very little interest in them because they aren't like us.

Why is this shit happening literally everywhere? This is gaslighting. I am being conspired against.

The same way I like men. Dumb, plot-oriented and completely fucking unrealistic in every possible way.

you mean like The Tick?

Yeah I guess a female The Tick would be pretty awesome. It's be silly af because of it (like the tick) and people would take offense though.

My wife's son uses my phone for games and she would kill me if he learnt those words.
