>The ambitious space exploration game No Man's Sky has reportedly been pushed back from its expected June release date.
>Sources close to Kotaku have reported that No Man's Sky has been pushed to "at least" July or August. It was originally expected to launch on the PlayStation 4 and Steam on June 21.
>Kotaku had an initial "reliable" source who reported the delay, while a second source working at retailer GameStop said their store was instructed to cover up any mention of June 21 on No Man's Sky marketing materials with a "Coming Soon" label. Photographic proof was provided.
Thanks OP, I found this information useful. I'm excited for NMS so I would have been confused if it didn't come out when it was expected to come out.

How many layers of irony are you on right now?

>no man's sky takes 5 billion years to come out
Austin Bennett
i hope this delay is there so they can add in multiplayer fucking hacks

More like No Man Buys
>here are all these planets guys! >btw there is nothing to do on any of them.
This is going to be the biggest flop of 201X.
Aaron Barnes
Likewise. I would have been clueless on June 21st waiting for the game and then finally see that it isn't there. I would be like "well gosh darn, where is No Man's Sky?" Buy now that OP has told us it is being delayed, I don't have to worry

Wait is there actually no multiplayer?
Brayden Gutierrez
I'm actually genuinely interested, not even kidding.
Sure, it might turn out to be complete shite, but I'm still honest to god looking forward to trying this game.
Isaac Bailey
this is coming to GoG. can't wait for an easy drm-free way to pirate this shit game.
Gavin Cook
There is no multiplayer?
Justin Morris
I didn't know Spore had a sequel
Asher Smith
allegedly, only pseudo-dark souls multiplayer where you can sometimes see other players if they are exploring the same planet as you, and only for a short period of time
adding in multiplayer more advanced than that would interfere with the "developer's vision"
Josiah Sullivan
they need to make it more like the division first
Adam Robinson
Post yfw you didn't pre-order this meme game
Sebastian Evans
haha hahahaha
Blake Jones
your post is Reportedly Delayed

exactly and Sup Forums was defending it vehemently a few months ago, back when NMS got daily threads, saying shit like "a developer should remain true to their ideals and not give in to the needs of the public"
even from a baseline perspective, multiplayer would probably promote the growth of the game and keep sales alive for longer, because people are bound to get bored of exploring "unique" planets alone, over and over again
William Lewis
There will be no mp, they wouldn't go to the bother of adding netcode (which is a pain in the ass to implement) to their game for the off chance of one brief random encounter every other 20 hours of gameplay.
