The game is good, but it had some of the worst marketing in years
It's great. GOTY for me so far.
I want a campaign expansion but it doesn't seem like one's on the way so SnapMap will have to do for now.
It's a solid fun/10, could have been improved by giving the player an option to just brute force yourself away from all the scripted sections where the story is told, but they were kinda few and far between so it was tolerable. Decent level design with lots of little hidden things, the map was kinda shit at times though but it wasn't needed much.

This is so fucking stupid. Anyone bitching about not being able to make nuts.wad or 100,000 Revenants is being unreasonable. Even if you do have a high end PC, that's just absurd given the fact it would have to render all those HD models and such.
The only spots that stick out to me were the beginning of Foundry and going into Hayden's office, but at least he had shit you could pick up in there.

It's my GOTY so far. The campaign is a little short but it's fun the whole way through.
Anyone digging the SnapMap puzzles and such? It's very basic but I like the challenge and getting into the mindset of programming shit.
Ten year old me would've been crazy about this shit.

This game is shit. No time building suspense, tension, or story. Aliens are weak. I call them aliens because they're sure as shit not demons. Worst Doom game ever. Do not buy it.

this games marketing team is the embodiment of "you had one fucking job larry" all they had to do was find some fast metal song that normies could listen to and not freak out edit clips of people blastying demons to match it and post the doom logo with a loud sound at the end and it would have done a 500 percent better job i even have a song to suggest

Snapmap is good for amateurs I guess but I miss radiant and scripting.

I took a gamble on it, and am enjoying it.
Wish the art direction was better, and wish it was longer, and didn't have MP, and had actual support for moddan.
But it's fun.

Fucking amazing game and I don't understand why everyone is shitting all over the multiplayer. My only gripe with it is the lack of dedicated servers, but the shit seems real balanced and also chaotic fun with player speed

Eh, I liked the mp in the betas as an appetizer for the full game. Might jump into it again soon and see what's changed. I just need some people I know to get the game so I can play it with them. Wishing it wasn't around at all is silly. And it was Certain Affinity that made it, so it's not like the single player is worse off because of it.
As for SnapMap, I'm a complete amateur and enjoy it but there's a lot of stuff I'd like to see added. Also it's confirmed via datamining that Hell assets are on the way.
