And the biggest thing is a partially completed Pichu moveset, that goes over Pichu.
At the very least the concept art is. There were some things that definitely weren't Project M stuff and just happened to be stored with PM files, like this unfinished Ganon alt that wasn't meant for PM and was just something Nanobuds was working on (he threw a fucking tantrum last night because it got leaked, apparently deleted the finished version). I would assume everything leaked is legit until someone reveals something as being their own unrelated project.

Pretty sure Skull Kid & others were scrapped pretty early on, we are just seeing left overs which they never planned to finish, even Sami's future was up in the air, i think one of the ideas for her later on just was an "alt character" meaning she would just be a suped up alt skin for Snake
I think it was Dark Samus & Deoxys they planned to actually release after Knuckles & Lyn, even then they could have just said fuck that since almost zero work was done on them & it takes ages to make a character

They definitely weren't going to do all of them, since it far exceeds the character limit as we know it, but it's still interesting to see what characters they considered enough to get the shitty 3.6b announcer to record them.
I wonder if the leaked Pichu was ultimately going to end up standalone or as a Pichu Bros. duo. I kind of believe the former since it seems so strong on its own but still. There are so many questions that will infuriatingly never get answered for sure.
