Each character is an attempt to target a specific demographic. Soldier 76 is designed to grab modern FPS players. As Pharah was designed to attract Quake players.

Widows and Mccrees give me nightmares.

I really don't like her after they nerfed her from the beta. She does the least dmg out of all offence.

He is not the best character. He gets rekt'd by McCree but McCree has other downsides like low survivability. He's the most stable character but I can always kill him as any other assault accept for Pharah.

Just gotta git gud with the double jump to avoid bullets. Also his dash resets on kill so dash in on a weakened enemy and kill them then dash out again and wall climb out of danger. His dash is omnidirectional too so you can dash to the top of a building or something to get away.

She;s not supposed to deal a ton of damage. Just use your boost to get in the perfect area and spray away.

There is literally nothing wrong with his kit beyond self healing which is stupid for an offensive character.

Same. I've played a ton of Mercy and Lucio while the rest of the team picks Genji/Widowmaker/Tracer.

It's not worth it.

Play a different game, because you stood around and let Zarya shoot you while you waited, instead of moving away. If you NEED a specific character for hard counter, try Junkrat or Pharah for delicious knockback to keep her out weapon range, or Reinhardt, because the charge stuns even through her shield.
