This is one of the best team-based shooters ever. Not only is it free and always been this way, but it has loads of maps and content along with high skill based gameplay.
Is there literally an excuse for us to not be playing this masterpiece right now?

There's only like 10 of us who have and the rest of the board is either too young or were playing counter-strike or something.
Maybe they can be saved. Last time we had a thread like this,we managed to get 12 people in a server and start playing for a few hours. It was a blast.

Would anyone be interested in joining a game? I found a nice American server with no bots and no mods, which is easier said than done.

For those who haven't played it before, I suppose you could imagine Dirty Bomb but in WWII and with more content and depth.
what is this? it clearly is wurzburg radar, but there's a tree at the right which i don't recall, and a open door down the bridge, which i'm sure it wasn't there before.

>fight to axis spawn once to get spawn time
>set up in allied spawn as mortar
>create meat grinder at axis spawn exit
>kill >50% of axis at once
>wait for next spawn
>aim last mortar shot at other axis exit
>kill the same axis again, keeping them in limbo for 60 seconds
>wait for inevitable backstab attempt
>kill backstabber with thompson and resume meat grinder mode
Eventually they'd get wise and wait and it wouldn't be as fun, but the amount of frustration you could cause with a mortar on that map was amazing.
It might be from some older version of the map. I got it off the W:ET page on Splash Damage.

If you use ET: Legacy, you can filter out servers that have bots. You'll find that nearly all of those servers are filled with bots.

I'd suggest using the Legacy client. It's the same as the original, but it's made to run better on modern systems. You can even join vanilla servers with it and everything. The only thing you can't join are Punkbuster servers and ETPro ones.

I've though about it, but most of those groups die pretty quick. Even if it's successful, people tend to get burned out eventually.
