his only purpose is to shred tanks in his current state; he's outhealed by everyone else, is the slowest support and has 150 health.
On top of that he doesnt even have amazing utility like a knockback or a stun, he literally exists just to bust tanks.

Zenyatta was my man in Beta but since public release I can't find a team worth supporting with him. They either break LoS every time I throw ball so the heal just dies or refuse to force chokes when I'm around and sit back like pussies.

Put a rein infront of a zenyatta and he will kill like 4 people every time. My Elim record in beta was with Zenyatta, had like 48 or something.

What bugs me is they took his HP down when you didn't need LoS for Discord or Harmony orbs to stick, now you need LoS and he still has 150hp, and is slow as fuck. One of those three things needs to change then he'll be a good contest for Mercy as best spot healer.

My friend is the definition of healslut, ha always plays Mercy and he enjoys it every time. I don't mind because in random pubs nobody wants to support.
I play Lucio on every cap where you can easily push characters off the ledge.

I only commend supports. If there isn't one on screen I commend nobody, along with giving the match the lowest possible rating and saying bg in all-chat, even if my team one and I got straight golds.
I would also report every player on my team but that would just take too much time.

I usually commend support players if they're up there. Least I can do.

Properly placed Symetra turrets can fuck people's day up. They'll come rushing into an area without looking, get nailed by 3-4 turrets, and be slowed too much to get away.

A properly used Symetra is deadly as fuck. Good thing nobody plays her.

If you let a Symmetra set up properly on the point, and she has someone (a healer or a Reinhardt) backing her up, you have to execute a reasonably well-coordinated rush to bust things up. And most pub teams aren't capable of/interested in that. If their plan is to flank the team and have one or two people attack the point from behind, the turrets and the left-click gun take care of them. If they all rush from the same hallway, you can just throw a charge shot at them. People really seem to hate it when they get killed by the charge shot.

Once I got play of the game somehow by dropping a teleporter and then charge shotting someone close together, and people REALLY hated that.

but preventing your allies from having to walk all the way back to a point, especially when the enemy is pushing, can make the difference between winning early and having to protect the next point

I'd rather have the shields upped a little than damage.

I don't even think you have to have a lot of skill right now to be good at Symmetra, just have a little creativity with your turret placement. Take advantage of the fact that you're the other team's lowest priority, so you rarely have to worry about snipers or ults. Take a second to figure out where the other team's attack from, adjust your placement, and then watch as you get a 20-kill streak and zero commendations in the post-game.
