Oblivion, obviously

Oblivion, obviously
It was also when they realized that they could start phasing out RPG mechanics and good writing in favor of shallow and repetitive action games, without actually improving the gameplay.

>you can actually climb that mountain

If you can get away with doing less but earning the same amount you would too.

There was no area from Morrowind in that video at all. He just got outside the boundary and explored the undeveloped wasteland that is in the area of the map where Morrowind would be. That same wasteland would be seen around all edges of the map where the other region's names are.

Fun fact all of Tamriel is low-res modeled (like for distant land) in Skyrim

It's called a budget. You really think people get to just not work because they feel lazy? They have artist and programmers, each with their own managers, who have their own boss, a CEO on top of it, and shareholders, but you think work doesn't get done because a few employees are lazy and everyone above them doesn't care?

This shit unsettles me so much. I went out of bondaries on wow beta before flying, and its just so bizarre; unfinished setting and barren lands leading to nothing.

I have a strange fascination with that sort of shit and also find it creepy. Same with content that was cut but is still in the game files or strange glitches. Going out of the map's bounds is like going off into some unknown abyss.

K

Exactly how much money would it cost to import shit from a previous game? probably a full days pay for a programmer.

They also added a low res white gold tower

>Lazy

It's not like they made that just to make the world very realistic even though you wouldn't see it.

It's more than likely they had a quest that involved a a short step into Morrowind for nostalgia factor so made that area for the quest but never ended up finishing the quest and cut it.

Oblivion's world was randomly generated. This includes areas outside the boundary which were generated for distant land purposes. That's why there's elevation and a river there. Nobody personally modeled all that or placed the trees or anything. It was all done by a computer and SpeedTree.

that feel when 'you -can- go this way'...

who else here climbed up to 'skyrim' in oblivion? climbing is easier in skyrim itself but no acrobatics makes jumping a pain in the ass.

Wait what? You could actully climb over and go that way without being resticted? Nice. Seems more like a bug to me though.

I did, the closest you can get to Skyrim in Oblivion is a little patch thats above Hermaeus Moras statue in the Jerall Mountains I believe

They make the map way larger then they need to in all the games.

And every-time people see it they somehow jump to the conclusion that it's for DLC.

Whats lazy about not making a useless area that players will never see? Obviously it's not supposed to be a playable Morrowind area and is probably just like said.

lel

REMINDER THAT WATER PARTS OF F4 HAVE NOTHING IN THEM. LITERALLY 15-25% OF THE MAP HAS NOTHING IN IT. NO QUEST NOTHING. TODD LIED SOME ISRAELI DIED!
