What's the point of this character?

Distraction?
A good Genji player will harass everyone much like Tracer does and avoid getting killed with his insane mobility.
And when someone does a mistake that you can punish, it can be game turning. For example, reflecting a turret's fire back at its team mates.

All characters have difficulty ratings. Genji is ranked 3 stars meaning, one of the hardest characters to play.
Yes, and occasionally pulls off some insane shit that turns the tide of the game if you're skilled enough either with his reflect or his ultimate.
He's bad against tanks but excellent against soft targets. Hanzo, Widowmaker, and Bastion all have tons of trouble with Genji. A good Genji can also counter McCree pretty well. However, if you aren't playing a team with a lot of those characters, he won't be that useful.
I see a Tracer being super good and keeping a whole team at toe almost by herself. Genji does nothing for like 10 mins.
Genji being caught in Symmetra's beam is usually a death sentence and I love that.

A good Tracer is an absolute nightmare to handle. Especially when you and/or your team isn't coordinating with one another.

Depends on map and situation. Tracers ult is not that great. But she's a good work horse.

I can't count the amount of roadhogs I've killed this way and even more are the ones that get super annoyed and start chasing me, which leads to them dying.

His biggest problem is that he actually requires (relatively) advanced movement, aiming and matchup knowldge while being extremely attractive to the lowest common denominator of mouthbreathing retards who want a cool ninja and despise supports.

Zenyatta has literally no purpose. He's the worst healer so you're better off picking someone else. And he's so frail you're just wasting your time playing him offensively when you could use an actual offense class.

deflect mcree flash, dash is good for tracers.
Even if you deflect McCree's stun your deflect stance actually lasts longer than the stun duration so he can attack you first.
zenyatta can heal and do other things at the same time, and you're seriously underestimating how good orb of discord is. he is really fragile though, you're right.
his ult is also pretty good and charges fast.

I had one game when we were up against a good Genji and the fucker was hanging around in our back line picking most characters after they respawn and run to the frontline alone.
I was playing Torbjorn and he essentially nullified my usability since I was unable to set up. He kept out Mercy at spawn for some minutes too.
When I'm on fire I usually have the most eliminations and damage as him. When used correctly he is devastating.
But one thing that shuts him off is a team that sticks together. He really struggles getting off kills against more than one opponent. But he's ideal to kill off campers.

never deflect it without a swift strike ready. Swift strike cancels any animation, so just cancel deflect with swift strike through mccree and quickly turn around and pop off a few shurikens+melee

zenyatta is a great character in the right hands, he's the one support character that actually needs to be really good. Discord orb is excellent for killing tanks or bastions as long as the team can capitalize on it, his rmb is devastating if you can manage to actually hit it

He's completely wrong, he CAN beat McCree but not if mccree is clever with his flashbang, Tracer however will zoop around making it impossible to land his shurikens reliably and if she fucks up she has her "I fucked up" ability

Please nerf Tracer's Blinks. She gets them retardly fast. And her Ult is a free kill that charges up really quickly.

Zenyatta seems to me to be a great final pick once you have another healer. He does great damage and between Mercy's damage buff and discord orbs your team will be doing insane damage and getting good heals to boot.
The projectile speed and splash damage of his grenades are pathetic.
If he could lay at least one more trap he would be much better defensively
It's hilarious that people are still underestimating how much damage Mercy does with her pistol. You can 1v1 most offensive heroes with it with a bit of luck and skill.
I'm relatively fine with the blinks, that's her gimmick, but her turn back time bullshit should get some kind of nerf. It's basically impossible to kill her off unless you play a character with instakill options ie w.maker, mccree and roadhog

Second half of Hollywood is a good example. There's a lot of verticality and range to it that Tracer can't abuse nearly as well.

Genji can instantly kill Tracer (and even 200HP heroes if he headshots) at melee range and is far better at range.
My point is any other class is more valuable than a guy who can do nothing but sit back and debuff one enemy at a time because everything in the game one shots him.
You could, but no characters shit on 90% of the cast like she does. She's just incredibly annoying to deal with. And chances are you already have one or two snipers/roadhog on the team (but they never get the tracer) and don't want to shit up the team comp just for that one character
Thing is, her Counters, she can just blink away from your Line of Sight meaning she can just zip around you getting free ult charge. Mei and Winston are her main "counters" but with mei when she starts gets slowed she can just Blink and all your progress of freezing her is gone. Winston kinda has the same problem expect her doesn't do a lot of damage and a Lucio can just passive heal the damage real easy. Symmtra isn't even worth mentioning

Using Swift Strike on the console and having to turn all the way around to finish the enemy is a pain in the ass.

That's an oversimplification. Orb of discord isn't the only thing Zenyatta can do and it allows you to effectively "DPS" two targets at once provided your team is splitting their focus. You can discord someone while swapping your healing orb to someone else and doing damage to a second target.
Even if you're terrible you can toss a discord orb on someone you can't hit effectively and let someone else kill them quicker.
Your point would be 100% valid if not for the fact that Zenyatta can heal. Sometimes killing a target isn't as useful as keeping a teammate alive.

his heals are nearly as good as mercy and don't require sticking to your target, the discord is one button press with no CD and you do a ridiculous amount of damage for all the utility you have. the only downside is the health pool.

Tracer can't climb walls and she makes A LOT of noise when she teleports. When Tracer attacks she wants you to know that she's there so you'll be distracted, Genji doesn't.

Basically, even if you're soft and squishy you should get your ass onto the fucking point and delay things by a few seconds. Hell, I've saved a match or two by switching to DVA and then boosting my ass all the way to the point. She's tanky enough to survive for a bit and her human form has to be killed too. It's a damn great way to stall for time.

This. It isn't well telegraphed when it can come through any wall and you don't know where it's coming from until it kills someone. Plus a good Hanzo will know where most people are with his sonic arrow or whatever and shoot it from the angle you least expect. Straight up sniping though widow has him pegged
He has better utility and his ult even if avoidable is for control. It forces the entire enemy team away from one area
