Just because Knuckles seems more fit for fighting doesn't mean he has more unique approaches to him. Why can't Tails join? I mean, why can't he use his two tails to attack? Like making a cyclone, flying on stage and what not? And even using little mechs once in a while? I'd say that's more interesting than Mr. Handsome Punch over here and the most he can do other than that is freaking glide.
