Monster Hunter 5 leak

Hi guys, I work in PR for Capcom and I just had some MonHun shit hit my desk so here's what I know:
>Is definitely Monster Hunter 5
>Planned launch title for NX and a New 3DS only title
>Shockingly coming out in America before Japan because the NX is too
>No G rank as expected
>Game features amiibo functionality: Couple of monster amiibos launching with game: New cover monster, Rathalos, Tigrex, etc. they all unlock unique quests in the guild, older amiibos like Link and Mario can be used to unlock quests for their gear too.
>Planned crossplay between New 3DS and NX, not really sure how that's meant to work but that's the bullet point I've got.

For those wondering, Nintendo has sent us Q4 for the NX release date so hopefully we'll get an official announcement of this game soon.

You know, you're absolutely right.
It's sad, but the only way we'll ever get MH on a half-acceptable rig again is on the NX.

I don't mind buying an NX for MH alone, usually get a solid 500-1k hours out of it.
I would kill for PS4. But I know that won't happen.

MonHun is the only thing that'd make me consider getting the NX, whatever it is, at this point. But with Generations coming out in July, I can't see it being so soon. Though multiple teams are a thing, I guess.

OP here, Generations is just being worked on by the translation team now, as far as I know there were only a handful of active coders needed for the translation. From what I know MonHun 5 has been in development since the day Cross went gold.

Though it would certainly be the definitive edition. I don't know about New 3DS, but it's clear that Old 3DS models aren't up to snuff. Gets sub-30 frames in towns. Really heartbreaking. Still put in a solid 200 hours though, it was alright/10.

That came out in September. We're just getting the translated version. There's another Monster Hunter title coming out before March 2017.

I'd be fine if it was super shitter "plz give me 200 mega potions for turning in a map" quests.

But actual content especially after the G rank Metallic Rath DLC bullshit, hell no.

5 would have had plenty of time to be developed by now. Cross was a low budget game which was rushed out by the B team.

I really don't like that Rathalos's movements. He seems completely weightless, like he's sliding around in the air.

CryEngine stuff are.. you know, already built into the engine.

There is no good gameplay without making the decision to do big spending on having enough staff who are worth a damn focused on making it. Where the money goes matters. MHO is very thrifty with how it develops gameplay.

They're not mutually exclusive. You can have both great graphics and great gameplay.

I saw domestic, but the line right above it says world-wide. I guess I should still only be cautiously optimistic, but at least there's a glimmer of hope. And yeah, just Canada. I'd love to understand the game better and why it won't let me take certain quests, but I don't want to have to regrind for gear.
