A fun combat system and some good high fantasy art strangled by a fairly generic design and forced to become niche due to it's wholly fan-service focus.

Classes being locked to races is bad too from a choice aspect. But it's moreso in Tera, when those races aren't for everyone.

Also the fanbase is bad, but that's just a result of the fanservice and free-to-play. It attracts 4channers and by consequence the game's general chat is basically shitposting 24/7.

I bought a founders key or whatever the fuck a few months ago. Only got level 35 or something before I got withdrawal symptoms from OSRS and had to go back.

The looting system, especially in dungeons, was fucking horrible. The dungeons were okay at best. The rng was shit. The cash shop was shit. Most of the community was shit. End game was shit.

Holiday events were nice though

Nigga I played WoW from Vanilla - Cataclysm. There's a reason the MMO market is dying, because people are tired of having to grind shit just to get to the best parts of the game (End-game PvP/PvE).

Dungeons have a ton of lag, in addition to horrible performance issues, so it always just feels like an exercise in tedium trying to do the endgame.

Gonna give you my honest opinion:

Playtime: A fucktion
Characters: 6 characters a cap(65).
When did you quit: During the Tensus patch. Meaning right before Brawler.


Tera is game with fun combat that is locked behind shitty korean grinding. This game is so punishing on new players that it's not even worth getting into it.

At endgame the best way to make money was by doing dailies for credits that you can use to obtain these boxes and sell them on the shop. Depending on the number of characters you have you could make a good amount of money in one day.

Remember: I have 6 characters at cap. Let's say you want Tensus Gear and you were a new player. With my 6 characters and fulltime grinding this game for 10+ hours a day myself and other players where only able to gear up one character. ONE CHARACTER.

And that's not the sad part. The sad part is.... that gear will only be good for a few months before it's outclassed by the next gear patch and then you gotta do it all over again for the same or another character.

TL:DR Just use your moms credit card.

Solid gameplay. That's really the only thing it has going for.
