Shadowflare.

Tried 3 times over the course of multiple years. Quit at the exact same location each time.

Lost Odyssey. By the time I got the boat, I was just so tired of the slow-moving plot and limited character progression that I dropped it, even though before that it had some of the most memorable moments in any JRPG I've played.

Just couldn't do the final battle when I went up against the guards, turrets and Horrigan as gunslinger retard.

>Games you liked but you didn't like.

Piss off. Remake this thread with what you actually meant -- games that turn to shit partway through.

It was fucking shit

The story was so fucking awful
>Muh ded mama ;_;

The characters are so cliché it hurts
>I'm a young boy who will discover an incredible strength during his fantastic adventure with friends :D
>I'm a beautiful blonde girl, the same age as the protagonist and will slowly fall in love with him :D
>I'm a thief and even though I may seem suspicious, I'm friendly and will put my life in danger to save these kids :D

The gameplay is pure trash, the OST is completely forgetable and the graphics are way too low for what it could have been

I sold the game one week after my purchase and never want to have it again in my house

Persona 4 (now that I think about it I'll play it after getting vita)
Portal 2
Dead Space 2
Shadow Warrior
Majora's Mask (gonna finish it tho)

Shut up, dumbass. You know what he meant.

I guess this a prime example for me. I really lived what this game was going for, and I'd recommend it if someone asked me whether they should get this or not, but it's so damn long, I got burned out about halfway through.

I want to finish it someday, though.

Every non SMT JRPG I have ever played

>the OST is completely forgetable
I was with you until this point

I've tried dozens of jrpgs since the late 90's and I've only finished 2: Legend of Dragoon and Radiant Historia. Fantastic game.

Shin Megami Tensei III

I was still pretty early on, when does it pick up? I really want to get into it.

...

Same here user

>Boss has no health bar
>Doesn't show any signs of damage after long series of attacks

I might give it another try, but it's mostly boring at this point.

Ok, I must admit, some of the musics are actually good. But I had to listen to them on youtube, 'cause I never had the chance to listen to them in the game, since I gave up too early

if you beat the Ogre you aren't far away

It was a masterpiece of cliche comfiness and genuine emotions. The graphics were great. The battle system what pokemon should have been.

One of the better JRPGs we've gotten the last few years.

> The battle system what pokemon should have been.
It was fucking horrible.

I still can't believe I actually finished it, especially given I never finish JRPGs

Great everything but gameplay

Cassiopeia is my waifu
