>stumbling into a relationship with both girls

I thought they were going to tell me to piss off.

>creative setting
>cool plot
>decent gameplay
>nice soundtrack
>only one self-contained game released
>fun party

I miss games like this

One of the most innovative games on the OG Xbox. I have no clue why there was never a Jade empire 2.

Wasn't this the first game where you could be a dyke as well if you wanted?

Become the ultimate edgelord and pick closed fist. Don't be some pussy ass cracka ho.

Dead franchise.... Bioware now works on shooters

>game is infinitely better then kotor and anything else bioware put out
>the only flaw is the god awful load times
>nobody cares

>decent gameplay
you could trap every enemy in the game in a stunlock using a style from the beginning of the game. IIRC the only enemies you couldn't lock were the giant stone elephants right before the final boss, and the final boss himself.

the chapter in the capitol city was the only really good part of Jade Empire

Most underwhelimg rpg ever.

Closed Fist is better because it's a philosophy that allows for the self improvement of people and freedom of the individual Disregard that. Closed Fist is about being generic cartoon villain 98239823 while Open Palm allows potential douchebaggery like wanting to oppress people in the name of "goodness" Which is what your master wanted to do

was that style Thousand Cuts? Because I remember picking that style and just mashing A to win every fight.

>he hasnt played the enhanced edition

>t. shit taste pleb

>you could trap every enemy in the game in a stunlock using a style from the beginning of the game.

Wrong. It wsnt until you got to the middle of the game.

Storm Dragon

>the first time I figured out harmonic combos and a dude exploded into a blood shower
>cutting off Lotus Assassin heads with the sword

Best style was the blunderbuss

>make a big deal about how Closed Fist isn't really evil and is more about allowing people to become strong through adversity using their own power, and Open Palm is taking a hands on nurturing approach to the world
>lel jk it's all just good or evil by another name
Good game but that bugged me, mostly because it meant I couldn't throw lightning bolts without being a dick.

dude BETRAYAL lmao

that bothered me too. I wasn't sure how murdering beggars or destroying a politicians life for kicks was making people stronger.

>mostly because it meant I couldn't throw lightning bolts without being a dick.
Shit sucks but to be fair JE was a great game for giving you lots of toys to play with instead of making you roleplay into one really niche impractical role.
Fuck that shit, I am a master of martial arts, I will master ALL the martial arts.
Plus the moral system, a little shitty, but at the very least it encourages you to play the game twice.
More than any other game, I'd love a remake into a more modern genre like a spectacle fighter.

You know, I really hardly even remember this game. All that really sticks out is that rich kid at the beginning that kidnaps your girl, those weird midget monsters in that restaurant or whatever, meeting the fat dude with a massive kill boner, the honorable noble beggar, and your master turning out to be that armored dude and the final boss that you can join up with. Also ninja princess miranda.

There is only one true path, and that path is Mirabelle

Fuckin' amazing game. I played it to death with a friend one summer and explored both paths.

>renegade path isn't badass or redeeming in anyway, literally your entire party ends up hating you besides black whirwind and even he's like 'c'mon man"

Unless you really care about corrupting that peasant girl you can just reload before releasing/binding Death's hand to see what happens if you release him or not and then just release/keep the water dragon because to see different endings.

I'm sure your friend did too

nope this guy was right it was Thousand Cuts that would do it.

You could romance both girls at the same time without penalty too.

I read that you can get into relationships with your followers, even from the same sex. And that you can turn Dawn Star to the Closed Palm path. Is all that shit true?.

Also, fuck the zither of discord.

This game litterally had a "gang bang with your whole party" ending. It was legit.

If I'm not mistaken, depending on the ending Closed Fist ranges from super villian to prosperous emperor to thrill seeking adventures.

wait wut? really?

R.I.P Sagacious Zu

Sky can be included in the final romance scene in the tent near the end- alongside Dawn Star and Silk Fox.

So 3 girls plus Sky if you are female, or 2 guys 2 girls if you are a male.

>Be open palm
>Decide to go back and bind Death's Hand to see what happens, maybe see if I can chat him up about his history
>Party members protest
>Can either back out or use my new powers to mindrape them into slavery
>do it
>The rest of the party holds Dawn Star, Silk Fox, and Sky down while I work my slavery magic
>They're forced to obey my every command, but remain fully aware that they don't want to
>I romanced Dawn Star, go talk to her
>Says she can't even look at me
>Order her to look at me
>Says she'll never love me again
>Order her to look at me like she did last night
>Says she hates me
>Tell her that I'm going to rape her tonight and there's nothing she can do to stop me
I was not prepared

Post your face when you realized Sagacious Zu is Kazuhira "Fulton a Coon I'll Pop the Balloon" Miller

>2 guys 2 girls if you are a male
Who would do this? Fuck off Sky get your own sluts

So was there a way to level up your followers? Because I remember by endgame they do literally 0 damage. Was I missing something?

What if Sky is your slut too?

...

...

Oh? Does Sup Forums like this game? Never heard of this game before.

Only 1/3rd gay.

And Kang the Mad is Colonel Campbell
And Sky is Twin Snakes Liquid

I remember Sky being Liquid. But I never made the Kang connection. I'm surprised Eiding has that range

yeah he's got surprising range, he was also the Vault-Tec rep in FO4 and several of the old men in FO3 (Zimmer, Evan King, etc)

>this is my fetish

There was a quest where you had to get a thug leader to stop trying to get this baker guy to marry her, and a follow up quest you could do to find her a different suitor.

I always fucked up matching her with the nobleman. Was it even possible?

can't you get her to marry the baker?

You're supposed to match with that wood crafter guy.

That was a hilarious quest.

She basically bullied him because he promised to marry her when they were kids and he forgot all about it.

Yeah that's what always ended up happening for me. It always bugged me because I was so sure you could pull it off with the rich guy.

Yeah I always liked it.

Yeah it was possible. Charm/intuition/intimidation checks all let him stay with her.
Impossible.
I did either this or the big oaf outside her building. Less hassle then the noble.

>he promised to marry her when they were kids and he forgot all about it
I forget sometimes how anime old Bioware was.

Thanks.

Back when they just wanted fun storylines. I remember thinking that quest and anything with Henpecked Hou and Black Whirlwind was hilarious.

A lot of the professional VAs really are professional. They just get pigeonholed like fuck. Like Troy Baker genuinely can do more than the Drake voice, but because everyone asks for the Drake voice, he gets accused of having no range.

He's Gin in Detective Conan, one of the pawn sets in Dragon's Dogma, He's Pagan Min, Espio, and Valvatorez. He has genuine talent, but devs want to cash in on the Drake voice for star power.
A lot of Jade Empire's quests were hilarious.

There was one tracking down what you thought to be a farmer's wife (actually their ox, his wife found out), Judge Fang (in a fucked up way), that one quest where you play Lady Fourteen Flowers and can give ridiculously smartass answers. There's a quest where you start shit with Sir Roderick Ponce Von Fontlebottom the Magnificent Bastard (actual name, and played by John Cleese who's going full ham no less), and others.

Jade Empire in general is one of Bioware's funniest games IMO.

Didn't even realize that was Cleese.

Ya'll niggas forgot about a thousand cuts

Every once in a while I'll replay BG and it hurts a little more every time. Shit, they just really seemed like they had fun writing the old ones.

Well maybe their new writers do, but I sure as hell don't find it fun.

Got this game fore free on Origin, havent played it yet or any other bioware rpg. What am i in for?

Who did you pick?
picrelated the comfiest character

Open fist. I walk my own path.

ya blew it

Actually interesting setting, least formulatic Bioware story, very arcadey gameplay, comfy locations

Pretty much anything out of Kang's mouth was pretty funny. Then there was his ending where he realized he was only at his best at inventing when people were trying to kill him so he kept giving the mobs the weapons he made so they'd try to kill him so he'd make an even better weapon.

Short, flawed, and unbalanced game. I still enjoyed it though.

That was actually well done. I liked how it came together in the end to let him succeed.

ye, I did
commiting sudoku first thing in the morning

Best MC coming through.

Stone immortal is cooler anyway
It even sounds better

>picking the orwellian ending
>think it was the right choice

nexusmods.com/jadeempire/mods/2/?

Here you go, user.

>Get Mirabelle and Stone Immortal
>Spend rest of the game paralyzing opponents and slowly load Mirabelle as they can only look on in terror

Is there a mod to play as sir Roderick?

>only enemy in the game who can actually use Focus against you is Master Li

Missed opportunity there, imagine if you had to actually juggle that focus bar by reacting when some nigga went all Neo on you and you had a slow-mo action fight where you were both SPEEDLINES to everybody else just like in Bleach

This guy was my nigga.
Thousand cuts all day, erryday.

I personally thought it was great. I was so used to Focusing for a tough fight that when Li opened with it he knocked me on my ass for a moment from sheer surprise.

Open Palm and then Closed Fist after chapter 5. I kind of figured that literally dying because your master, who you'd spent the entire game up until then trying to rescue, just fucking murdering you in half a second would piss of a shitload of people.

>tfw guard canceling with Mirabelle

Of course someone always has to ruin it by naming her Creamy nougat.

I do not need mystical powers to throw fuckin rocks at people. I didn't even use magic but it's the principle of the matter, and maybe I would have if I could shoot lightning.

Throw fucking fire at people, then use tempest to fan the flames. Fuck your shitty rocks.

>corrupting that peasant girl
Fuck that was the best.

Or just kill literally everything in the game as the Jade Golem.

>murdering beggars
That was about making YOU stronger, by taking what you wanted.

>destroying a politicians life for kicks
Either they overcome it and grow stronger or fall where they deserved

>setting anyone but blac k whirlwind to not support

I was always the guy with the blue tunic and yellow sash. If I play again I'll be a girl, but only if I can still romance the girls.

no one remembers this game because every part of it was forgettable

You can romance silk fox as a girl. And I think there was a mod that let you do dawn star as well.

On the contrary, it was one of the most memorable bioware games for me. Definitely one of the funniest.

Was the threesome possible with modded dawnstar?
