I heard it was because they wanted to eliminate any chance of Terry being the half Asian that the artist designed him to be.

literally just adapt the first scene from the first episode of batman beyond. it introduces some of the mechanics of the new batsuit like flight then goes into the combat as you try and beat people up. at some point through the fight bruce will have a mini heart attack which stuns him and you get knocked onto the ground. at that point the guys just start kicking your shit while you're down, at some point they kick you to where a dropped gun is and you get a subtle hud prompt for interactivity to pick it up as your only option.

I mean I don't really see where rocksteady has to go after they release remaster. Bamham games are what they are known for now and they will likely continue to make these games. I've heard tons of people talking about how cool a BB style game would be for years now so I'm sure Rocksteady is very aware of its potential. I'm just hoping it's not a straight spin off but gets its own life. Otherwise if it is just a clone it would essentially be the same experience as playing Knight with the Beyond skin.

No, it's pretty much the worst kind of retcon.

I really liked Terry being a kid who was reasonably smart, streetsmart kid who could brawl because he was a piece of shit punk until he got his head screwed on straight. He meets Bruce, who has given up on pretty much everything- takes the suit to avenge his dad, and then they end up inspiring eachother to take up the gig.

Terry is basically a scrappy tenacious Batman who can wisecrack and makes up for not being a master of 200 martial arts by having a power suit and fighting dirty. He brawls and gets beaten up even when fighting mooks half the time compared to Bruce who was basically invulnerable outside of cheapshots and like the odd rogues gallery member with legit superpowers. Bruce becomes his logistics.

He even got a really good rogues gallery of his own going.

But nah. Bruce clone. Because we need more of those. Can't be a coincidence. Nothing can ever be a coincidence- like it has to be some plan set in motion decades in advance or whatever or magic or an alternate dimension. Fucking horseshit.

I'm watching TAS right now, but I only really like it because I love the Batmans character designs. I don't think I could enjoy a show without The Joker.

Inque (thief/assassin with a liquid goo body)

Mad Stan (hilarious conspiracy theory prepper retard guy voiced by Henry Fucking Rollins)

Shriek (dude who specializes in sound-based weaponry, becomes a villain first to try and preserve his research, then to get revenge on Batman for deafening him)

The Hunter (dude with surgically enhanced spine who...uh, well, hunts stuff)

Blight (Formerly head of Wayne-Powers, the company left after a forced takeover of Waynecorp. Becomes deadly radioactive skeleton)
