Dead Island

I started playing this a week or so ago. Just finished that quest where I had to collect juice boxes from the gas stations. And now the dude tells me I'm supposed to enter the city.

Jesus this game is larger and longer than I thought.

is the game fun if you play as someone other than the chinese bitch? I chose her because I didn't want to be a redneck or a negro but her combat style is incredibly boring and repetitive. I didn't know that her being a melee specialist meant there would be absolutely no usable firearms.

I'm playing Xian as well.

I don't think combat changes too much between characters. You'd still be using melee weapons most of the time as any of the other characters until the guns start dropping.

The resort area is so comfy it's the only reason i kept playing this buggy clunky shit.

The only good thing from this is Who do you voodoo bitch the rest is mediocre, if you want a sandbox zombie survival Dying Light is a better choice.

I played the one gun bitch up to max, but I remember using melee still way more often than guns even when speccing heavy into it. It was disappointing as hell.

That game would have been so cool if they didn't put special zombies in it.

Guns don't drop till the city, and they're kinda shite desu
It's big but repetitive, you'll end up with a million side missions in one area that you can only do one at a time which is a pain, after the city is some god awful sewer levels so get ready for that crapfest

this, Dying Light is so fucking addictive for me due to the combination of free flowing parkour and high impact violence. it's actually a pretty unique game altogether despite it being another retread of the zombie genre 2bh

I put 50 hours into this game. Beat, never touched it again.

Minus the white guy, the characters are all unlikeable, the story is crap, and the gameplay became really tedious after a while.

Also the game is really fucking glitchy.

I had some fun with Dead Island, but quit at some point in the jungle. Only finished it after beating Dying Light + The Following, which is a far better version of Dead Island.

Did anyone else hate the health kits in this game? I don't think I ever used one on purpose, I used to just chug beer ever time I got hurt because I kept accidentally using all the shitty health kits...

I eat fruits and drink redbull all the time to heal myself, one thin I find funny about the game is you can push the zombies into water and watch them die

The black guy was who I played with. Got a tesla sledgehammer early on and was wrecking shit.

Before you get to the city you meet a guy who can tweak your ambulance into armored car, he died later due to zombies but his daughter stayed with you, when the punks took over the police station she wanted to give them food and water but then she got captured and by the time you rescued she had been raped.

Don't know what you're talking about, if you played dying light you would know this looks identical. It's literally the same engine.

Dead Island 2 isn't being made by Techland, it's being made by some shit tier dev called Sumo Digital.

I feel kinda like an asshole, I don't even remember the rape I cared so little...
