Then they will play it. They'll see it's like 4-5 hours long at most. Stages are just hallways. The game plays like a really lame uninspired MM clone that it is. It will be too much for people.

Every series starts out rough. Mega Man 1 is a game lacking polish and is very rough around the edges. But there's a hint of greatness in it. And I see that same greatness in Mighty Number 9.

Kenji Inafune is an industry veteran with over 30 years of experience. He created Mega Man, and was lead dev for most of the series. You have him to thank for the classic series, X series, legends, Zero, ZX, Battlenetwork, Star force series. Should he not be given a second chance? If MN9 gets a sequel, I know it will be 10 times better than the first. And the third game even better than that. But right now there's a hate campaign out to sabotage the series, and strangle it in its cradle. Mega Man fans will only have themselves to blame this time for standing in the way of Inafune's vision.

Remember, Kickstarter works like pre-ordering. Those who are the most interested in the game already donated and are already going to get the game. For actual sales, you need to actually sell it to new people. Are any of them going to care about a dollar store knock off Mega Man clone with graphics on par of mobile games? Gunvolt isn't that great either, the tagging system really held back the level design and caused the game to be balanced for high point speed runs.

Which incidentally is much the same problem MN9 has, only with the dashing mechanic instead of tagging.
