Can't wait
Manticore is light armor, right?
continuing with more from GOST
Luckily I haven't had enough time to finish doom over the past couple of weeks so that will keep me busy until this beauty drops. My graphics cards are ready for it's 4k 60fps glory.
Time to have ok time playing a 8/10 game.
1st for Thyssen / Cidarian Cavalry / Redanian Halberdier are objectively the best armors.
All that armor looks so fucking shit, bulky and shit hanging off all over the place, its like JRPG armor- Polish edition
the ursine look pretty barbarian thought
HoS was praised because of strong main story with a great villain. BW wont have those aspects to be as good it would seem.
Please tell me you retarded shit-breathing mongoloids have at least read the first two books in the series.
>mfw when autists mad about that review
It's pretty on point, the main quest and main characters were pretty shit tier. All the good was in side stuff.
You already played it?
MUTATIONS PART 1:
DEADLY COUNTER
Sword attacks deal 25% extra damage to monsters and humans immune to counterattacks. All other enemies struck by a successful counterattack receive a finishing kill if their health is at 25% or below.
BLOODBATH
All fatal blows dealt by swords will dismember the target or trigger a finisher. All successful melee attacks increase Attack Power by 5%, to a maximum of 250%. If you take damage from an enemy, the bonus is lost.
MAGIC SENSIBILITIES
Signs can deal Critical Hits, and their chance/damage increase with intensity. Enemies killed with a Sign Critical Hit will explode.
PIERCING COLD
When casting Aard, it has a 25% chance to freeze its targets. If enemies are knocked down and then frozen, they immediately die. Enemies not killed are dealt substantial bonus damage.
CONDUCTORS OF MAGIC
While drawn, Witcher swords (and Unique/Magic blades) increase Sign damage by 50% of their own damage value.
TOXIC BLOOD
If Geralt has a Toxicity level above zero, enemies who successfully do damage in combat receive 1.5% of the damage dealt in return.
isnt quoting entire thread to say unrelated shit bannable?
>What the devil
MUTATIONS PART 2:
EUPOHORIA
Each point of Toxicity increases sword damage and Sign intensity by .75% (max of +75%).
MUTATED SKIN
Each full Adrenaline Point decreases damage received by 15%, for a maximum bonus of -45% incoming damage.
CAT EYES
Crossbow damage is increased by 700%, and crossbow critical hit chances are increased by 50%. Bolts now pierce and stun/knock down opponents. Enemies struck with full health automatically lose 15% of their Vitality.
METAMORPHOSIS
Inflicting critical effects on an enemy will activate a random decoction for two minutes with zero added Toxicity. This can stack for up to three decoctions, and Witcher Senses now increase visibility in dark places without the use of potions.
ADRENALINE RUSH
When entering combat, Attack Power and Sign Intensity are increased for 30 seconds by 30% for each additional enemy you face. For example, when facing 11 enemies at once, your attack value and sign intensity is increased by 300% for 30 seconds.
Alternatively, once the buff expires, Attack Power and Sign Intensity decrease by 10% for every additonal enemy for 30 seconds. This decrease will not exceed 70%).
SECOND LIFE
When Geralt's vitality runs out, he becomes temporarily invincible and completely regenerates all of his health. This effect can be used once every three minutes.
>retroactively change the lore and fuck over canon in order to cater to biodrones
>win goty in rigged awards show
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>this game is still sitting in my backlog with only 8 hours played
>Look at me, I'm an enlitened individual becasuse I've read the books.
I have too, I'm not throwing it around as something of importance though.
You know if you like the game it won't invalidate Uncharted and bloodborne, it's okay user who you don't need to be so paranoid that a game being good will make your exclusives bad.
>change the lore and fuck over canon
What did they change? Book canon and game canon diverge after lady in the lake.
no more scarf on ursine?
kinda lame
>I've always loved you, before, during and after [my amnesia]
Geralt to Triss.
Don't worry scarf is still their, it's just a fur scarf now
They also made it so Geralts wish to the Djinn was what made Geralt and Yen love eachother.
Tbh lad the only time I start throwing all my book knowledge around is when people start talking about the lore and they fuck it up. Nothing triggers me more.
The tasteless plebs have finally arrived, good thing that our last thread was great.
>When Geralt's vitality runs out, he becomes temporarily invincible and completely regenerates all of his health. This effect can be used once every three minutes.
this seems like too much
i mean, of course, it means that when you're not dying it doesn't do anything helpful, but still
But it was
>i
You have to be 18 or older to post here, go back to funnyjunk
Almost all of them are pretty overpowered tbqh
Literally makes no sense. Like they could have easily just had Geralt fall in love with Triss and have him stop loving Yen but instead they just blamed it on the djinn. Oh well its laughable imagining Geralt even falling in love with someone besides Yen so I never go that route.
yeah, suppose so
that one just stood out as more or less the grossest one
>Be you, eating dogshit in the nude on the grass
>"Boy, this dogshit really hits the spot, right fellas?"
>"Mhm" "Yepper" "Oh yeah, for sure"
>Be me, walking my dog along the path nearby
>"You guys, uh... you know you're eating dogshit, right?"
>"BUT MUH BIASED 8/10 MUH DLC MUH BOOBS AND MUH COMBAT"
>"Just wanted to letcha know, user,"
>choices in a RPG game, oh gosssssshhhh!!
Would it be worth it to start a NG+ to fuck around with tonight, while I wait for B&W?
Or say fuck it, and do it afterwards?
No it wasn't. The wish tied their destiny together it was never about love.
No you fucking complete and utter moron. ''Destiny'' is a common theme throughout the series, and what the Djinn did was tie Yens and Geralts destiny into one
thanks for that preload gog you fucking dicks
What's important about the first two books?
>this mad about others being excited for good DLC for a game that won a gorillion awards
>so mad that he actually made up a story in his mind to try and illustrate his anger
Cute
Of course it makes no sense, what makes it worse is that it was ADDED AFTER THE GAME WAS RELEASED after the fucking Biodrones whined on the forums for several months straight, so CDPR eventually caved in and literally brought in the voice actors to create tons of new lines of dialogue, most of them involving Triss and Geralt, with the line I mentioned above being one of them.
CDPR are literally hacks and deserve no money, pirate the fucking game.
That's not what that user is talking about. He's talking about how they basically fucked over the lore with that one line. Still it's a minor complaint on his part. The white frost is a bigger fuck up.
Pretty much everything about Ciri, Emyhr, the Wild Hunt/Eredin/Avallach and the white frost/ithlinnes prophecy/Ciri's role in said prophecy.
Basically, the main novels and TW3 cannot coexist in the same universe, since with all the things they changed, the sequence of events and character motivations are completely shattered.
>I don't understand why a choice which alters the past depending on what choice you pick is bad design.
they're ok literature while the saga sucks balls
It's also why Geralt and Yen died st the same time . Destiny is some spooky shit in the witcherverse.
People really do assume that if they admit that a game or DLC besides Uncharted or Bloodborne are good, that it will invalidate their exclusives.
>Just getting into Witcher 3
>Start looking at concept art for armor
>Just starting to get some of the starting sets after finding out where the Barons daughter is.
>They look very different, and not as great looking
lame
Well Geralt didn't actually die, he was close to death and Yen almost exhausted herself to death trying to ''revive'' him. So yeah they were both close to death, so it's the same thing as you said, fate caused them to be near death at the same time.
Not terribly much, in terms of the games and their plot.
They are both just collections of fun vignettes that together act as a great foothold into the series as a whole.
Fun reads, for sure, although the polish-to-english translations lead to a few really obsolete and awkward word choices.
HoS was basically just a strory dlc while has a new map and sidequests
What's worse is that they could have actually fixed the real issues with the narrative instead of focusing on biodrone waifu shit pandering. But nooo, waifu shit pandering is so much more important than the pathetic antagonist, shitty nonsensical ending, the conclusion to Dijkstra's quest being retarded etc.
Each piece upgrade of the set looks different
enhanced wolven gear does not look like superior wolven gear
>feline
God damn it, not the fucking hoods again
It's the new majority audience, of course they'll pander to them. Intelligence is contrary to what most people believe rare, and most humans are retarded to the point where they are worth less than cattle to feed the minority of intelligent humans. So of course the masses will never understand the more important aspects of the story that should be fixed to make the game more enjoyable, because they are so unintelligent that they do not understand these finer points of the story, they are so base and easily entertained that more ''waifu content'' satisfies them more emotionally than what we'd be despite our intelligence even if CDPR handled the actual complaints about the game masterfully.
We live in a world where intelligence is more of a curse than a blessing, and therefore, CDPR will pander to what generates the most revenue, which is the waifu-loving Biodrone SJW crowd.
That's why I'm hoping manticore is light armor, but I had read it was medium.
Still talking about weapon scale modding
How difficult is it to edit files and turn it into a mod? Where can I learn how to do this?
>be you "why haven't I killed myself yet?"
>the sound of your mom calling echoes down to the basement "user, it's dinner time"!
>you "ugh maaam bring the food down ere'!"
>mom comes down and says "user I am getting real tired of your shit, did you apply for that job at the super market yet?"
>you "but maaa...*lose voice because of fat pushing against throat*
>your mom "I don't care if people on that strange website of yours are bullying you again, it's time for you to do something with your life, you are 30 years old and it's really embarrassing"
>your mom leaves the basement
>you "heh.. time to shitpost about game of the year 2015 again, that will surely teach those meanies!"
No preload on PS4 if you bought the season pass, thanks a lot.
Thanks
Pretty much. I like how it was foreshadowed since the first and second book that that would happen. Destiny is a bitch. I wonder what would Geralt and Yen's future would have been if the wish was never made well remove the part were Yen would have died. Borch implied that they were made for each other and were always each others destiny so maybe it was their destiny since day 1 and Geralt was always slated to make the wish.
where is the viper armor
well you could use the modding tools
oh wait.......
>using ANYTHING
>fucking ANYTHING
>but the manticore armor
My only regret is that I won't be able to play for a month after release due to exams.
no viper set apparently
...
>Making childish analogies involving people you don't like eating shit.
You're not in third grade anymore, user.
Hopefully Blood and Wine is more like the short stories and less like the shitty saga. Though then again, I'd take even shitty saga style witcher over TW3 main quest which somehow managed to take all the crap elements of the saga, such as Ciri, and distill it down to an even crappier base.
i wished there are more hooded armour, but ofc muh nvidia hairworks
Love this game so much.
I feel like any other game I play will always be in the shadow of the witcher 3 in my mind.
That being said, I still want to play other games. So are there any games that come close to being as good as the witcher 3? In terms of story, gameplay, and just overall depth?
>inb4 "skyrim"
He sounds like a fedora tipping pick but he's not wrong There were other problems that needed fixing instead we got the waifu patch.
>eredin literally almost as much dialogue as he does in one trailer than he has an the actual game
JUST
Witcher 2
Hopefully Sapkowski wasn't just joking when he said ''Either I write a new Witcher book, or I'll live under a bridge like a troll'', and we'll actually get a new Witcher book set after Lady of the Lake / Season of Storms. It shouldn't be too hard to do and I can imagine a number of interesting storylines. Adult Ciri having taken the anti-aging thing like all sorcerers and sorcereresses do,
Are you ready to say good-bye?
Try the first two games
Then the ones that inspired it and the games that followed the same inspirations
So Gothic, New Vegas, and Nehrim
>can display armor in your vineyard
Fuck. Now I have to go get all the Legendary Mastercrafted shit.
bulk of witchers content is small stories you get from quests.
N-no
Eww most of that is waaay overdone, especially ursine, calm your tits CDPR this is tasteless as fuck.
>"sidequests"
Pretty much. Eredin had more dialogue and character in TW1 than he did in TW3. I'm still so pissed that Vesemir got offed by him and his crew of scooby doo goons. What a shitty way to kill a great character off.
Wait for Cyberpunk 2077
Seriously one of the greatest video game ever made. I don't care what anyone says, everything about The Witcher 3 is top-notch
>METAMORPHOSIS
>Inflicting critical effects on an enemy will activate a random decoction for two minutes with zero added Toxicity. This can stack for up to three decoctions, and Witcher Senses now increase visibility in dark places without the use of potions.
Holy fuck that sounds hilariously broken.
>grandmaster Griffin armor
>Wowitsnothing.jpg
Also
>Feline gets hood
>Still no helmets in game
Already started that, in anticipation.
even Big Boss betrayed me but Geralt always stayed my main man who never let me down since 2007
I don't want him to go
Except the modern Bioware tier main story, and half baked shallow broken combat, sure.
I'm a console fag.
Are there any games on the ps4 and ps3 that compare to the witcher 3?
>MAGIC SENSIBILITIES
>Signs can deal Critical Hits, and their chance/damage increase with intensity. Enemies killed with a Sign Critical Hit will explode.
Fuck yeah, time to rock the ugly as fuck griffon gear
I do wonder why the fuck a time displaced Geralt was around Artezua but I don't know how I will feel about a sequel with Geralt or Yen. There story is over so like you said it would be about Ciri and Ciri can be a hit or miss. Her book counterpart is certainly better than her game counterpart but I found her to be a weak character. I think a collection of short stories that takes place around the 1240s and 1250s will be his best bet.
I DON'T CARE
yes im ready. i want the game to go out on a high note and not be dragged out. witcher series was top notch but its time for something new.
Sell both consoles and buy a machine you own with millions of games instead of the latest Sony pony shit
not even close
>he didn't side with based Nilfgaard
Best faction.
Yes it's time. Geralt has had 8 books and 3 games. Let him rest.
No why would it be bad if it was about Yen and Geralt? It should still be about them, I don't see why not. There's a whole lot of things to write about due to the interesting setting of the series. One could be about a resurgance of monsters due to the devastation caused by the latest Nilfgaardian invasion of the Northern Kingdoms, race wars between the humans and nonhumans, etc. .
