Only started to play in Sup Forumseekend teams and was surprised how fun it is. Just a shame tournament mode doesn't have a team mode for it.

Sup Forumseekends' idea is to have a room to play with people easily and swiftly. Bracket tournaments should be done in a separate thread, the same way other game's lobby threads are a separate entity to their bracket counterparts.

You can do both at once, make the link in the main thread and then make a separate thread for the actual tournament. People in the tournament just play in the normal Sup Forumskend while they wait to play there 1v1s. How is that a issue?
My stance in this is add the 1 hour customs every 2 rotations, it would something like
FFA > Teams > FFA > Teams > Customs > FFA > ...
I also think 2 hour tourneys should be decreased in length to 1:20 or 1:30, and add ISP items somewhere in there.

Why are you pushing the 1v1 tournaments so hard? Also again its pretty obvious the creators just made it at the expense of others. The Sup Forumskend I fucked up makes it pretty clearl.
Its an issue because Sup Forumskends are mainly a casual thing and introducing tournaments turns the whole thing into a much more drawn out set of events. If you want competitive, go to /vg/ or make your own thread.

Because when /vg/ got competitive it pretty much turned it on its head and started to spoil the atmosphere. It eventually lead to /vg/ receding and breaking apart. It causes trouble though I am sure you know that already.

Are you implying Smash hasn't been okie guessing games, snap planking, overpowered recoveries, and generally floaty garbage since Brawl? Most of the characters got ruined beyond normal playability. At least in tr4sh they give you some true combos, but there's no combo creativity allowed past a certain % meaning its only the combos the devs LET YOU HAVE.

Thank you for the backhanded compliment, but doing a 2 hour FFA to Team gets stale when we do this every weekend for the past 60 some weeks. Enjoying a custom cuhrazy FFA for a mere 60 minutes is a good way to bring some lighthearted fun to this/v/ ever so quickly becoming a /vg/.
