I liked the first ZOE, but I got sick of the second after I finished that fucking mission where you have to carry the lady bot out of the reactor place. That was so fucking annoying.

No it doesn't. Mech is just the english form of mecha. Nothing original comes from Battletech.

The popularised term 'Mech' to refer to a giant robot came from Battletech which based it off mecha which means ANY kind of mechanical design (same for Mekton). The Japs always called giant robots 'robots' from Mazinger to Gundam and beyond. Giant robot is the correct term whether you're talking about AT VOTOMS, Patlabor. Daitarn 3, Dunbine, Dangaioh, Big O, Code Geass, etc, etc, etc. They're all robots.
