Well considering Tracer, Widowmaker, Soldier, Bastion and Genji all have a huge skill cap based on aim. I wouldn't recommend it for the PS4.

This. Buying random loot is the best was to make people spend money. If they let you buy ingame money you would just buy 5000 for your favorite characters and never look back. I'm surprised they let you buy specific things with in game gold. Although you can get around 1000 in game money around a weeks of play so if you buy boxes you are a fag.
