No, you're full of shit. The only reason the explosion propels the bullet at all is because of the enclosed space inside the gun. If you set off a bullet outside a gun it wouldn't go anywhere you mong.

I liked FFXII but this was one thing that really bugged me. Why not equip footsoldiers with both? It's weird to have a melee battle on the ground while fighters shoot each other in the air.
