LOL! soooo funny dude its like u do what everyone on those vg generals do ur so unique
>it's another "my negotiators are so incompetent I don't even annex the planet my army is on" game
Capture their worlds, purge all pops on planets you can replace with your own and enslave those on planets you can't.
Or replace them with robots.
Silly user. Don't you know that aliens were meant for enslavement? That's their only good trait worth to allow them to exist.
To let aliens thrive freely is bad, but to exterminate them is a waste of resources.
Since you decided to let them live, at least make use of them, improve them for their inevitable future as slaves.
For when we come to enslave your pathetic human race, we want the best of slaves as a bonus.
>Robots
What for? Unless you are far in the tech tree (and before you get there, the game gets too boring to continue), robots are shit.
Im still new to the game and im struggling with managing pops in new planets with slavery and rioting. Can i fill them with my own race? Could use some tips
>Find
>Attack
>Conquer
>Purge
>Rinse and repeat
Truly, the best Paradox game ever made...
This is what I (and many people) do in vidya. Even if you intend to go true evil and destroy everything, you often back out because you feel bad partway through.
I haven't played it but you can use the "china tactic" which consist of:
>Capture territory
>Flood territory with your own population
>Kill off minority slowly or by genocide
>Territory continues to function
>Repeat with new territory
You just need 1 of your own pop to keep a planet settled.
If you send 1 of your own pop before the genocide you can keep the planet and now it's "Pure"
>enslaving your own race
What are you some kind of heartless bastard?
Just attack anything weaker than you. Cede their planets instead of turning them into your vassals. Enslave their lesser kind.
As for primitive species: Ascend them to space (and if you have the option to uplift them, make them resourceful), then enslave their entire kind.
I felt bad when i hunted in far cry 4 ;_;
Just purge them. This game is maintaining the EU4 stance on what you should do to play the game. Namely - being extremely aggressive prick that doesn't care about anything. And since trade doesn't exist, there is no reason to be nice or liked - just conquer everyone, purge the shit out of them and continue until you will get bored with painting galaxy your colour.
When you capture a new planet that has decent habitability for your own species then purge all xenos pops except 1. Go then to one of your own planets and select a pop and then resettle 2-3 pops that work on minerals or some shit.
Be sure to allow resettlement in your policies and dont purge all xenos pops because the colony will be lost and you will have to build a colony ship.
I don't feel bad about anything in Paradox games, because your choice boils down to
>Do some nice shit to be nice
vs
>Prevent continous rebellions
It's no brainer, user and this game has a particularly easy way of just purging entire races or populations you don't like. I don't even consider it on "good-evil" vector anymore. It's "efficiency-non-efficiency".
Remember times when SMAC was able to make you feel fucking awful about building recyclers and turning dead people into food? THAT had an impact. Paradox games just put you with a choice that basically says "here, you can be nice, or you can have shit done".
Droids are better than slaves and if you are an absolute madman and go for synthetics then they are superior to organics in all aspects.
Just the option to be able to build them in inhospitable planets for your race makes them worth it.
>Droids are better than slaves
Why are you having slaves to begin with?
And as mentioned, synths are so far in the tech tree at that point you will probably be playing new game, as the old started to be boring.
> Spec Ops: The Line
> white phosphorus
>Just the option to be able to build them in inhospitable planets for your race makes them worth it.
That's what genetics are for, you mong. Cheaper. Faster. More efficient. Less tech. No chance of rebel AI. And so on and forth.
how the FUCK do i cross spiral arms? these silly otter cunts have blocked me off from the outer arms
Why is this game so fucking boring? First two hours are fun exploration game, then it's just map-painting simulator.
I don't vassal enemy empires so when i capture their planets they are filled with dirty aliens, i can either enslave them all and turn the newly captured planets in another slave mining sector or purge them and build droids and send my own pops.
Also why would i be bored of a playthrough i am winning.
I created an empire based on the federation from starship troopers ended up making every empire my vassal for the glory of the federation
>they are filled with dirty aliens
Purge
You don't need droids for this at all.
And why being bored? Becuase there is nothing to do in this fucking game. You just blob. You can't even participate in trade, because diplomacy is literally "War/Peace" button.
Is there a possibility that an AI rebellion occurs when the Zerg or the Unbidden have come?
Yeah 4X aren't real games ha ha
That's what the Unbidden are for, to fuck up your lategame.
Nope. Only one crisis event is allowed to happen in a game session
>start a game with choices
>plan to be really evil
>feel really bad for murdering people
f-forgive me
Yes
Only if you are using shitty, late-tech drive. And why would you want to use any other way of long-range travel than gates to begin with?
Not to mention them not being even a real challenge, just like "Fallen Empires" or whatever that decadent bullshit is supposed to be named. Boo-hoo, an empire of 5 barely developed planets with mid-tech fleet you can destroy before they even start building attack formation.
Besides, this is CK2 memmery - "the game is fun if you play as maimed inbree, I swear".
I really miss times before Paradox went all for the shekels and was making at least semi-interesting games with other options than constant conquest.
This is why you play space jews instead and make everyone hate you with the power of shekels
It triggers me when people talk about that because I didn't feel anything at all when I completed that segment.
>OH YOU HAVE TO USE THIS THERE'S NO OTHER OPTION
>YOU KILLED CIVILIANS BECAUSE YOU HAD NO CHOICE
>NOW FEEL BAD
>Only one crisis event is allowed to happen in a game session
... to single empire
I know that feel too well, user
Not him but i felt really good when i was burning the fuckers from the sky, which made me feel extra bad afterwards.
What are the requirements for a crisis occurring? can i put species ive made up into a game? can i research robs as a spiritualist? can i fug the humies?
...
kek
...
>Start game with choices
>Plan to be the second coming of christ
>Kill all motherfuckers that even look at me weird
I just can't help it, the game gives me power enough to annihilate every asshole goon I see so I must use it.
AI Rebellion : Have sentient AI Synthetics, and set robot policy to Servitude. Extremely, extremely low chance of happening even in giving them civilian rights
Unbidden : Use the Jump Drive device that you can equip for your ships after you've researched it. Each jump you make has a chance of opening up an Unbidden portal
Those eldritch creatures : You just wait for them to appear. There is no special condition to be done. They can appear any time in mid and late-game
This is because most of the time "evil" choices in games are either "gimme your lunch money!" or "I killed them all because KILL KILL KILL"
Fungoids are like the blacks. There are a lot of them, people feel sorry for them but no onr wants them around and get purged all the time
But, user, there was always a choice. You could have not played the game but you wanted to feel like a hero.
This game needs more events and questlines. Especially for mid-end game. Those Unbidden/Zerg crisis things just aren't enough to keep the bloating mess interesting.
OP did nothing wrong.
Lol @ feeling bad for some virtual disgusting sandniggers.
I would've happily dropped the hiroshima bomb, or participated in the holocaust.
Fucking whiteknights. Used the white phosphoreus and giggled like a girl when I realized I murdered the civilians.
>Got that part spoiled from Sup Forums before I even got the game
>felt nothing when it happened
It's one of the few things I wish I could take back and play unspoiled, just out of curiosity how I would have felt.
So are there any DLC coming soon or can I buy that game?
There are some already i think
Really? Well I'll be sticking to my pirated copy then.
>That edge
The game isn't developed enough.
You won't be able to win a game with the greatest difficulty by picking anything else than militarist / xenophobic.
Just try to do a pacifist / spiritualist run, you'll get your shit pushed in by the IA who'll declare war on the go.
The game is rotten for now, they need to revamp the ethos system.
Same
...
Oh, alright mate.
>Literally walk through an army of american soldiers
>feel no remorse at all.
>kill a couple sandniggers
>THIS GAME IS SO FUCKING DEEP OMG MY ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES AND NOTHING IS BLACK AND WHITE IN WAR
Tumblr tier shit right there.
I would tell you to kill yourself, but that would only benefit you.
I would like to play a nazi empire but they removed the mod that made everyone white because "muh racism".
Oh god now I remember.
>Shogun 2
>Play some clan... Togugawa? Can't fucking remember.
>Many enemies, but one bro, Hattori clan
>Broest of the bro's, we always help each other out
>Our borders swell, we become the mightiest force within Japan
>Eventually we have fought our way into the heart of the current Shogunate, Kyoto, a veritable stronghold.
>The next turn I would sack it and proclaim myself Shogun.
>You can guess where this is going.
>Hattori assaults the castle, wins by a slight margin.
>For years I have toiled towards being shogun, never realizing my bro Hattori also had ambitions
>I realize... The Hattori army was decimated in the siege. He and a few loyal retainers now hold the castle.
>My fresh, gigantic army is a turn's march away.
>I'm so sorry.
>I assault the castle, usurping my brother-in-arms on his moment of victory.
>Hattori declares war on me, the clan hates my guts (the lowest attitude there was)
>I take off on the pimping shogun boat, realizing every single clan in japan is now after my blood.
>My armies fought the best they could but could not stand against the combined powers of all the other clans.
>I sit morose in my glorious ship, waiting for someone to come claim the title I don't deserve.
>mfw I actually wish commiting sudoku was an option in the game, I was a honorless monster.
This is the only time I've ever felt an AI in a game was actually hurt by my actions. Their hate towards me was incredible.
My saves arent there. i literally had shit loads when i played last night, why have they disappeared? any else have this?
Don't make me post a pic of my license, I dont have a computer cord for my phone and I have to mail it to my alternate email.
Just cease your memeing "Lol he dosn't agre wuth me so he is underagge lemayo".
It was never appreciated.
>Expecting from Paradox doing anything else than churming pointless DLCs
user, the core mechanics are done and finished. They won't change. Now only details will vary from DLC to DLC
lemayo
>I would've happily dropped the hiroshima bomb, or participated in the holocaust.
>Fucking whiteknights. Used the white phosphoreus and giggled like a girl when I realized I murdered the civilians
Read that post again and tell me it's not some top tier edgy cringe shit.
>Not seeing a difference between fighting army personel and bombing fucking civilians
Yeah, totally tumblr, you stupid fuck
>Not embracing the purity and strength of your empire by having a master plan from day 1 where you conquer the galaxy and promptly purge all other species that threaten your vision
Nazi locusts is the only way to play.
I even tried playing the nice guy, but I really do think the galaxy would look a lot nicer with just my name on it.
>Look at how edgy I am LOL CIVILIAN CASUALTIES
>D-don't make me get my license
Baiting hard, or hardly baiting?
There is a modifier in that game that happens once you have taken over a certain amount of land. It makes all the other AI turn against you. Only VERY long time allies will still be your friend. Keeps the game interesting instead of being a case of mop-up. YOU MONSTER!
Alright, the hiroshima one might've been too far, the japs are alright with me, I admire the fact that they all blindly sacrificed themselves for their emperor.
>Judging the worth of a life due to their profession
Heil hitler to you too.
>Only VERY long time allies will still be your friend
Their opinion will keep dropping down each turn by X, depending on difficulty setting. So sooner or later they will too hate your guts
Kill yourself mein neger.
>Baiting hard, or hardly baiting?
Either?
Or?
PM'd you the fix
Ladies first.
Don't want to break it for you, but massacring civilians is considered war attrocity. You know why?
Because they are fucking civilians.
They are not fighting you. They are not a fucking threat. And you go in and hack them, shoot them, burn them, carpet-bomb them and... that doesn't ring you a bell? At all?
Nice meme son, but Sup Forums called why are you late.
Wasn't that this time, the change happened on the exact moment I attacked them. I might be remembering details wrong though.
I can understand the idea behind Realm Divide, but it also kinda sucks since you know you're always going to be fighting everyone eventually.
I wonder if there's a study for why people get so emotional for pixels and polygons, especially when videogame writing is so poor. I get in RPGs because of the completionist nature and saying "no" to some farmer might end up missing on a sidequest and reward, but people genuinelly crying about Joel's daughter in TLOU is just cringewrothy, especially if it's a character that gets axed of in like 5 minutes without anything but superficial characterization.
>Comparing a game to real life
Wew lad
>I don't understand human emotions
Sad to be you
>If I will now switch to imaginary situation it will throw the argument off the rail
It won't. It will just point you further as a faggot.
It's those human aspects that turn me off from being evil. Like when the AI offers you peace, and it's clear that they really want to be at peace while you just want to kill them. It just makes me rethink my actions, despite knowing full well it's a game.
That's a nice story wish I played shogun
>Being so easily influenced by moving pictures telling you to feel something
Brainwashed fucking sheep.
>feeling human emotions for poorly presented block of code
I bet you "play" VNs too
It's usually the opposite for me.
>I'll try to be a hero this time!
>NPCs start acting like ungrateful dicks
>they go out of their way to start shit with me
>even crossing the line and trying to get me in trouble or taking credit for stuff I do
>chimp out and begin the Carnageapocalypse again
Do you actually, honestly, consider the npcs in Spec ops: The line as a threat?
Honestly?
They are a mere hinder, you kill them anyways because muh "soldiers r bad and civilians r good XD".
Do you play through stealth games and never kill a single guard? They are not a threat, you could easily walk past that guy instead of shoving him off the ledge, you do it anyways.
That sounds awesome!
That they bothered to put that into the game speaks of attention to diplomacy (and honor!). More games should penalize you for declaring on a long-time friend.
(EU4 tries to somewhat do this with the introduction of trust, but it's a somewhat lackluster feature. Such treason should make you their mortal enemy for aeons!)
RIP thread though
> Playing the game as a glorious Aryan empire.
> Get a nigger as president.
> Can't mod them out as the Paradox Ethic Police have removed the mod.
Your oldest allies only take a few more turns to declare war on you
>Like when the AI offers you peace
By AI you mean NPCs written by people or like an actual AI bots like in CIV? Because those cunts will turn on you at the first time their programming allows it. They're there to win and they have no mercy if it helps them to win.
>There's always this guy whenever Spec Ops is brought up
>This guy samefags every thread about Spec Ops about how hardcore and unfeeling he is, and how the game is shit because he didn't understand that the point of the game was, in fact, to play through it and grasp a message so simple a child could understand it, not to actually 'choose' anything because it's not supposed to be some game like mass effect and only retards or shitposters can't seem to understand that.
>This guy has been doing it for years, and starts Spec Ops threads just to bait people all the way in 2016, years after the game came and went.
>mfw baited into responding to this anyway.

I seem to recall I managed to keep one friend for quite a while, but it's been years since I played so I might be misremembering.
>NO OTHER OPTION
>BECAUSE YOU HAD NO CHOICE
What a baka
maybe you're right, I'm not an expert
gotta hate when this shit happens... allies should ask for your permission to invade shit you already called dibs on.
it only happens if you pick the "independentist" road instead of following the shogun or the emperor when realm divided happens.
and it's forced as fuck... even if you have "very friendly" attitude with someone/you conquer it and make it vassal or make peace and pay to make the a vassal they will refuse peace or revolt in a turn when you make them vassals
I'm not usually into strategy games like this but I've been loving Stellaris. Is Crusader Kings II essentially the same thing but on land?
This type of story is why i love Crusader Kings 2, as this shit happens all the time. Reactive AI that is programmed to take offense to your actions and hold a grudge should always be encouraged.
>my nazi empire
How's the 6th grade treating you?
