What now SonyPhonies?
What now SonyPhonies?
low quality thread
You should be more concerned with the missing white towel.
>sonyfag detected.
>muh technowlagee
kek
for a low quality game
Not even the painting is mirrored
never mind that, what happened to his watch?
Oh look, it's another meme thread.
Well thats not how mirrors work obviously, since that there is not his reflection, but a mirrored 3d copy-paste model
are you retarded
Are you?
Never heard of vampire towels?
Those sinks though.
Ghost towel, deepest lore
Mirrors don't reverse images you fuckin retard
Holy shit you pc fucks just keeping getting dumber and dumber
baited for these exact responses ;)
>game had working mirrors
That made the game better than 99% of the current gen games
>frogposts
>gets baited that easily
>calls other people dumb
>working mirrors
nice meme
?
That's obviously a vampire towel.
so they used the Mario64 trick? lol.
That's pretty good
those mirrors are wrong, from that angle we should see the borders of the sinks, and the there should be grey tiles under the painting.
...
>Lightswitch beside the mirror
What type of stupid shit is this you have to walk halfway through the washroom to turn the light on how are you going to find the light at night
Its a plug you fucking idiot
Of topic but why is drake so fucking hot? I never had anything for him neither am I gay but man the older this dude gets the hotter he gets. Like real wine
wait a minute
Look near the painting beside the mirror autismo
this fucking thread
Also
>All these flaws
What's going on here?
its for those lights above mirrors and shit, it helps women with applying make up. if the lights above or behind you you dont get to see good thats why some mirrors have a light just on top of it
Look at the hairdryer you moron. Its obviously a plug
Then why is there a switch sticking out of the "plug"?
...
Show me a game with working mirrors on Pc then... Oh right, there are none because mirrors are sexist and enforce unrealistic beauty standards
AY HOL UP...
What the fuck.
this wtf
>white towel missing
$trippy
So this is the power of the PS4....Woahh
Wait a minute
i dont get it?
Riddler!
this turned into a meme fast
RIDDULAHU? IMPOSSIBRU
At least they're actually rendering the scene twice, instead of just tossing an environment map like certain games like watch_dogs does, or using bizarre shader stufff like UE4 does.
huh?
Shitposting aside, why is it so hard to make functioning mirrors in games? Is there really nothing devs can do that simply reflects an enivorment back? What's with all this copy and paste the same room stuff?
'How do mirrors work?', the thread.
Because it's hard to do convincingly in any other way, and what you suggest is stuff reserved for simulation for scientific and industrial applications using huge ass computing centers
I hate environment maps
only they rarely use that for actual mirrors in small rooms, but rather for cars, chrome shit, and office buildings
They're not, it's a pre-rendered static image, which is why the towel in OP is missing because they forgot to update the image after adding it. Only the player model is being rendered twice.
Isn't it just that the angle of the mirrors (there are two) wouldn't show the towels from that perspective?
Dunno
In order to make it work you need to render the scene twice.
So mirrors only work in small areas where nothing else is being rendered. In this case all that's being rendered is just a simple house
If you expand the map to say jungle, you ain't seeing mirrors reflect unless it's a cutscene and they render only what they need to
Modern video games only calculate the light for things that are visible in the player's view because this makes lighting much cheaper computationally (This is known as deferred lighting). But as modern games prove by barely keeping 30 FPS, rendering is still obviously very expensive. So when you have a mirror that shows things you haven't already calculated the lighting for, you're essentially doubling the cost of rendering each frame.
>why is it so hard to make functioning mirrors in games?
because a proper reflection from a mirror should be done by rendering everything again from a different view, and that's fucking expensive with all the complicated shaders and rendering techniques used in games today.
then where was counter?
the tile labelled 1 in the reflection is actually the second tile in the non-reflected scene autismo
could be intentional
ps4 or not, there are some pretty advanced graphic effects going on
so it wouldn't be strange if they decided to save some processing power by cutting out "details"
What's so impressive about this? Mario 64 had working mirrors.
Hell, the N64 in general had hardware support for reflective environmental mapping.
counter is still gone :(
