So why are you still playing fucking pokemon and not digimon?
Great story

Why are you playing games for children?
user, what's wrong with you?
Because I'm not 11 years old.
>digimon
>great monsters
Pokémon has way more depth
I enjoyed Cyber Sleuth on my Vita, breddy gud game though it was a bit too weebish
So wait 1 more year. I suppose its not for 10 year olds.
digimon is shit
>pokemon
>depth
yeah it has depth
>What are IVs
>What is Breeding
>What is competitive online
>What is everything
Has that all in digimon except the ps4 online is trash.
It's not nearly as evolved as in the Pokémon games
How about you play both games
The kiddie pool is not deep.
They are fucking tedious, boring, and a waste of time.
Why choose apples over oranges?
Butthurt digifags
Because oranges are fucking shit.
Just like pokemon.
Some people hate variety, may be because they're ignorant and or poor
>Play Digimon
>My favourite Mons are usually Champions or Ultimates
>Do nothing but eat SHIT late game because "Where are ur megas LOL???"
Yeah, nah.
>great monsters
>great systems to play it on
LMAO
Cyber Sleuth is shit.
Pokemon has worn out it's welcome.
How's that Yokai Watch game?
PVE can be as simple as it wants no Digimon game has had as deep a competitive scene as Pokemon.
I do but digimon takes a lot of the work out of engineering stat teams. Pokémon does have a better set of moves to use though. That was my largest gripe with digimkn. So many moves that were not worth using.
It's shit. And at least Cyber Sluts has the sluts.
So, is the depth not there, or is it a waste of time? Make up your mind Digifag.
but it is depth nethertheless
True digimon online was fun but it would never be something someone would actually want to watch.
All moves in Digimon are worth using, they're just situational. Guard is underrated.
twat you missed
> what are legendaries based on mythical creatures
> what are different continents
> what are pokemon based on actual animals
> what are pokemon which has a hidden references to folklore and urban legends
> what is pokemon fans who are not actual fans just twats in disguise like you user?
Wargreymon > charizard, we've been over this.
Vita/ps4 > 3ds, who would argue otherwise?
>youkai watch
>game
Because the monster designs just aren't good.
I really do hope GameFreak gets their heads out of their fucking asses though. God gen 6 was garbage, they didn't even bother finishing it.
I'm referring to the ones that are level 1 of the moves you have level 3 of. I was a dumb got rid of a bunch of useful moves.
it's good enough for a Monster raising fan. game really only gets some challenge in post game though
This.
Because some Pokemon games actually fit under every single one of those things you greentexted.
>he's never tried competitive battling
Doesn't even have to be against another human, places like Battle Maison and Battle Subway are challenging if slightly bullshit on later levels
>They are fucking tedious, boring, and a waste of time.
sounds like the only child here is you
>cyber sleuth
>great story
Had nothing to do with Digimon really. You could have replaced them with aliens and nothing really changes. This would be fine if the plot didn't drag on for so goddamn long. Those sections where you were running around restaurants and hunting for fucking ghosts while you knew th world was fucking ending and there was a GIANT FUCKING DRAGON hovering over the city. The game tried too hard to be persona and failed in that regard. Suedou was pretty okay as an antagonist, better than what I was expecting for a Digimon game of all things.
>animation
Passable. Most JRPGs have pretty flashy moves anyway.
>great monsters
Less monsters than previous games, but most of the fan favorites are there. Can't really complain.
>great characters
Honestly, Akemi Suedou was the only notable character.
Nokia is generic bubbly waifu.
Yuko is generic quiet waifu.
Arata is generic cold guy, who then becomes a power hungry edgelord before getting set straight.
Kyoko is mysterious older woman with a stake in things.
All in all it's a pretty okay game. I don't see why it has to be one or the other.
It's good but the battle system has nowhere near the depth or complexity of Pokémon. Plus catching new Yokai is far more annoying than Pokémon, you only get one chance per battle to recruit 1 of 3 Yokai chosen at random so for rarely encountered Yokai it can be a complete pain
>They are fucking tedious, boring, and a waste of time.
And stat training, and ABI grinding isn't? Fuck off.
doesn't this game play like Persona 3 and 4? all talk, little gameplay?
That's not a Pokemon game though, that's a Mystery Dungeon game with Pokemon paint. It's like loving the Legend of Zelda series, because you liked the gameplay of Hyrule Warriors.
I am kinda interested in this game and just getting something for PS4. Is the story decent?
Are there branching paths at all?
In general I like pokemon/smt nocturne style games, I just know very little about digimon except what I saw on TV over decade ago.
Is this game really that great?
I'm relatively neutral towards pokemon, but I like RPGs
Digimon needs to combine the systems of both games in their next Story game.
Imagine, Level99 Koromon with all stats and any special moves that can be inherited? Shit'd be nuts.
is it as much a tedious grind fest as the ds games?
How did people even know about digimon? Everyone i ever knew growing up was on the side of pokemon or yu-gi-oh, i didn't even know digimon existed until i saw porn
While I haven't play Pokemon in a long while, Cyber Sleuth looks pretty good.
Only thing keeping me from playing it is that fact the Vita version is digital only and I only have an 8GB memory card. And I don't feel like going through the trouble and extra money of having to import the Asia version.
yeah
The story is okay for what it is. Not really great, but none of the Digimon games have a really knock out story.. My issue is that it drags on forever.
>Are there branching paths at all?
Nope, the game is REALLy on rails.
>In general I like pokemon/smt nocturne style games
I'd say it leans closer to Pokemon than Nocturne.
If you like autistic grinding and monster collecting, the game is a solid 7/10.
why
It is, all the mystery dungeon games that aren't names "gates to infinity" are always great story wise and gaameplay wise
It aired the same time as pokemon/dbz, you would have to be blind to miss it.
Is that goalpost heavy? You keep moving it you must be exhausted
>I'm not 11 years old.
>plays pokemon
That was literally my only post in the thread. I just wanted to educate the retarded Nintoddlers that think Mystery Dungeon is just another Pokemon game
en.wikipedia.org
if pokemon had combat like the monster rancher games on PS1 it would be the GOAT
No, fuck off.
>the true ultimate monster hunting game will never be popular
I don't know user, it's really popular in Japan and has been recently getting popular overseas.
...
What's the bottom one?
that monster hunter game better come out here
Pokemon:
two gears -> three gears -> four gears
Digimon:
three gears -> Robo -> Robocop -> Metal Gear
Both games have their own ways of doing things. Why you want Pokemon to change is beyond me, when you have a good amount of spin-offs to fall back on. There's no need to change the main games at all.
>Why you want Pokemon to be good is beyond me
I still have hope for a new game
;_;
Explain what would make Pokemon 'good'. I can already smell your shitty awesome cool ideas.
Be like digimon.
Wow, that totally convinced me. So convincing, you only had to do so in three words.
NEW MONSTER RANCHER WHEN
what country?
digimon was in germany somewhat popular, of course not nearly as pokémon but still fairly popular
Pokemon's core campaign never really changes, but at least the series is pretty consistent. And it's English release isn't translated by retards.
