I've been replaying MGS4 lately and it could have been one of the best games ever even with the dumb plot if they had expanded on all the shit Acts 1 and 2 introduced instead of completely forgetting about them. It also looks really fucking good, one of the few games I wish would get a PC port/PS4 remaster so we could see it at something higher than its native resolution (576p I think?).

I played through all MGSs last year when I finally got my hands on legacy collection, and I thought MGS4 was a really good ending for the series. Sure, it was cutscene heavy and the "SHE COMES FROM MUMBO JUMBO AND SHE WAS RAPED AND NOW KILLS BUT YOU FREED HER" was pretty boring, but the gameplay was the best in any MGS octocamo not included and no one can deny that the whole Shadow Moses, piloting Rex and the fistfight with Ocelot wasn't the hypest shit.

Seriously I'll admit myself as a fag who thinks that MGS4 is the best in series along 3.

MGS3 has the best bossfights in the series and the cheesy agent movie plot makes it even better. You can't possibly try to say that 1 or 2 are better, 1 is really good but dated and 2 is pretty boring except for the last part when it all comes crumbling down and you get the katana.

I love MGS2 & 4's villains, but it's easy to make fun of them

MGS1 was written to be the most generic action movie ever and 2 was suppose to be the dissection of Americas obsession with the almost propaganda that is action stars in america.

People can't realize this and unironically think the first game is the best (proving they just love the macho hero and hate actual good storytelling), it is beyond amazing that people cannot understand why the first one is the way it is.

Could any metal gear best REX? It's shown that REX>Ray and Snufflelopus is beaten on foot and almost destroyed by a single spray of a minigun. Only Peace Walker probably comes close
