Marrakech, Morocco

So, who else played the new Hitman level? Thoughts?

I thought it was good, but very underwhelming when compared with Sapienza. Uncomfiest setting so far, crowds were too big, the embassy was a pain in the ass because there were a dozen different guards that each saw through a different disguise, there wasn't as much fun dialogue and the areas felt emptier and there wasn't much cool creative shit to do either. It's still a good level, but I hope it ends up being the worst level of the game by the time we're done.

Apparently not much people

I played it too and it's ok, but I like Paris and Sapienza much more
Paris was way smaller, but really well made

There is going to be a Japan and an America level right? I hope they will be better than this one

>Thoughts?
You nailed them yourself, add in the fact that the American accents piss me off
You also nailed those digits

new one is harder than paris or sapienza, but sapienza is probably the most fun to fuck around at.

I liked lots of stuff to interact in marrakesh, it looks like they want people to create elaborate contracts.

Still can't find the perfect sniping spot, i have to arrange their meeting at the school and blast them from the headmaster roof, right?

I told you fags this was gonna be uncomfy. This level feels like out of Silent Assassin with its difficulty. Definitely the hardest level so far, for good and for bad.

Easily the worst of the three. This level really exposes how poor the lighting system is in outside environments though.

Im hoping the next level is something cool like the underground night club in BM

How so? I got SA rank on 2nd try, 1st one was a stupid mistake when i didn't look at the minimap.
I'm really curious about the story.
>(((STRANDBERG)))
Game lets you kill jews, in previous episode you destroyed a weapon that jews are suspected to have
GOTY
Morocco isn't comfy, but it's a good level. I like it more than Sapienza.
Do you think we'll have to fight the mysterious man who ruins everything for Providence?

>There is going to be a Japan and an America level right?
Yeah, but before that we're getting Thailand.

thailand? sounds good, let's see what it'll be

so the planned ones are thailanda, america, japan and a final one in an unknown location?

You guys are talking about video game levels like TV-show episodes. Does that not worry you?

>This level
>Hard

>Go to school take officer uniform pose as prisoner and kill dude.
>Go upstairs to safe and get code, call other target with phone in same room and go to the underground
>Kill last target essentially any way you want as he heads down before he reaches the first guards or kill him regularly when he finally gets down there

post yfw the American level is the only level where the npcs don't speak english

What if they're all speaking their native language, but that's just the way 47 hears it in his head?

>Im hoping the next level is something cool like the underground night club in BM
To me it doesn't even need to be anything particularly unique. I'm fine with them doing yet another Hotel level as long as they do it well.

>Pasty white blue eyed character

>Draws more suspicion at the Swedish embassy than at the Moroccan army camp

why are there so many americans there?
is the entire game actually in the training facility?

No, because these episodes have been pretty good so far

I liked the intro pack I'm just not sure whether or not to buy sapienza and Marrakech or wait for the full release, I just want something new to play

That actually makes sense. Best thing would be to get natives for each location and just add subs, but picking out shit in the crowd would be hard.
Kinda like in MGS3 you get dubbing, when despite the dialogue being in English, character says "Your Russian is superb"

>Do you think we'll have to fight the mysterious man who ruins everything for Providence?
He's definitely gonna want to fuck 47 up. He implied very heavily at the beginning that the reason why Providence is as powerful as it is was because they used ICA and 47 to get there. He'll probably keep having 47 help take them down for that nice ironic end and then try to kill 47 so a second Providence doesn't happen.

what do you mean? Does the format (episodes released once a month) bother you? Would the game be better if it was released all at once? All the episodes have been good so far (althought I like 1 and 2 better than the third one) and the format works well, I like to complete all the challenges, escalations, etc. in a level before the next one is released

The final one will be in a location that has already been used with some changes to it.

sapienza was really good

Although that theory kinda breaks when you go to the Army yard and they're doing pushups while counting in whatever native language they speak there.

you can pirate the dlc and it'll show up in the game if you have a legit intro pack.

>will be in a location that has already been used with some changes to it
what? how do you know that?

As long as they keep delivering on the quality, then I actually like the fact the game is episodic. Every new month I get a new level to play and fuck around in.

Well, I can say that it's easily the hardest level of this game so far to me. I had a far easier time with the others. There are a lot more guards that spot disguises. Especially in the Embassy.

DALE

Mr. 305

IO have been pretty consistent with this and the time limited targets are fun. I'm not going to get worried over a slippery slope.

That's exactly what's happening. There are plenty of examples in Sapienza and Marrakesh where one of the shop sellers goes "What do you want" and the random NPC goes "I CAN'T SPEAK YOUR LANGUAGE, CAN YOU UNDERSTAND ME?" even though they're both speaking English.

Yeah, noticed that too.
I guess background noise in english, but important stuff, like opportunities being revealed etc. in native, louder and subtitles overriding the chitchat of random crowds?
Oh, and it seems that loading a save clears poison from bottles.
At least had that happen when loading a save, after i poisoned water bottle in cafeteria the masseur was drinking.
Lost the 1 emetic poison i had. Bottle was magically clean.

Why does the Swedish embassy have so much moose shit in it?

Is the Moose the national animal of Sweden?

>disguise yourself as the masseuse
>"Hey man, I'm digging the new bald look you got"

>Thank you for responding so fast, we were not ready for this. We are not Denmark

so the IO devs (who are Danish) were making fun of the Swedes for being sissies with this?

I can't even get Sapenzia to load, and I have a pretty beastly PC. It just drops to 1 fps for the loading screen and stays like that for 5+ minutes until I eventually alt+f4

Anyone else having these problems? The game seems pretty poorly optimized for me, barely getting 45 fps in Paris on lowest settings

works on my machine

AMD or Nvidia

Yes.

>tfw sabotaging every phonebooth and bike in the map

OH THIS SHALL BE A NAUGHTY CAPRICE

There is a theory the game's plot is just a simulation

The first two levels being 47 going trough Soder's operations in a simulated setting in the 90's and the other levels being the player going trough 47's operations in a modern simulated VR.

anyone know where the intern is?

kek

He's around the bazaar walking around and begging people to give him directions. He eventually finds his way and is on the entrance lobby of the embassy but it takes like 5 minutes for that to happen.

I'm waiting for the full release. It's a single player game so no biggy.

Irrelevant opinions, anybody dumb enough to buy this shit wouldn't admit the problems to themselves. How else are they going to rationalise paying for a AAA game and having the content drip fed to you? Wouldn't be surprised if the game was straight up worse than Absolution.

oh, in the bazaar, that's why i can't find him

I understand where you're coming from, I guess you'll be able to find out two years from now when the game is selling for 10 bucks.

Why do poorfags always make up other excuses to not buy the games they can't afford?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Speaking of the Bazaar, the general talks about some kind of lamb he wanted to eat at the Bazaar but I have no fucking clue of where that is.

I suspect the shisha bar? Dunno if he goes there. Finished the level twice so far. coin bait and headshot the (((Strandberg))) and PoW opportunity for the general.
2nd was masseur and the toilet drop.

I thought it was kinda easy, I guess just because I lucked out and immediately found th3 club card on the one rooftop and could get an isolated soldier in the bathroom, then get the building keycard.
First playthrough disguised as the masseur to kill the banker, then hid in the closet for the general when he goes to taunt the prisoner and garroted him.
Map is sort of linear, but good.
What really gets me is where the fuck are all the escalations and shit for this level?

Escalations always take time to come out. We get one or two new escalations every week.

I've heard him mention it before and I found a plate of food sitting by itself in a kiosk. You can poison it, of course, but you can't seem to pick it up. I was thinking as the vendor you could deliver it to him but I dunno where the actual food you can pick up is.

The level is decent, but:
>kill general unseen inside school
>tuck him in a cabinet
>seconds later the intercom is announcing the general is dead and whoever else is taking over
>no one even cares

Oh, my bad.
I got the game about a week after Sapienza came out and there were already like six of them, so I assumed they just came with the level's launch.

Weird. That didn't happen to me.

>guy putting up rebel posters
>following him for like 5-10 minutes
>he eventually uses a payphone
>literally just called someone on a payphone to ask if they've ever tried stuffed-crust pizza

There are more moose in Sweden per square mile than any other country.

is that like 'go 'za?

so whats your fastest sosa, mines 9:54

It's SASO, not SOSA.

either way

I hate the fact that all of the npcs speak in either an American or British accent. It's so fucking lazy.

So is it Marrakech or Marrakesh? Is IO just dumb and spelled it wrong?

It's actually 100% correct both ways. Half the population says it one way, and the other half says it the other cause they're French. So they're both official names.

Marrakech in French, Marrakesh in English, مراكش (Murrākuš) in Arabic and ⴰⵎⵓⵔⴰⴽⵓⵛ (Meṛṛakec) in Berber

Fuck that god damn embassy and all of those guards being assholes.
I haven't even been able to stealthily turn off the cameras yet.

You turn on the copy machine, and that gives you enough time to delete THIS
I found getting the masseur is a mess.

Sapienza is excellent, Marrakesh is good but I would probably skip it if I didn't have as much disposable income.

I could swear I saw an interview where they explicitly said it would not be on a new location but I wasn't able to google it.

Well, there is only 6 maps confirmed.

The 7th level will either be the Gary Busey hit or a final boss.

We also know Sapienza has a night variation with a live concert going on. So maybe it takes place there or it will be used for some Elusive Target.

Marrakech is the filler level you'd play through and forget in a full retail game. Shame the episodic release highlights it.

I do remember seeing Paris at night on one of the trailers.

Marrakesh > Sapienza = Paris

Sapienza had a lot of cool shit to do, but most of it was too easy to pull off

Paris > Sapienza > Marrakech

I don't know how to compare Paris with Marrakesh yet, but Marrakesh above Sapienza is insane to me. Sure, Marrakesh is harder, but Sapienza had a lot more fun shit to do.

Sapienza > Paris > Marrakesh > Military Base > Yacht

Buying them all individually is cheaper than buying the upgrade pack

>mfw pushing a toilet onto the general's head

The embassy was a cool idea for a setting but in practice it felt a bit empty, like there was only 4 rooms or so in it that were actually relevant. In Paris a much larger part of the house is relevant (you have the sheik guy's room, the lockdown room, the auction room, Dalia's room, the laptop room, etc.), but of course in that level the house is the entire level so I guess it is forgivable.

Overall so far I've had the most fun with Paris, but it's also the level that I've played the most simply because it was released first so there is an obvious bias.

Sosa sounds cooler

SASO sounds cooler but Suit Only Silent Assassin makes more sense than Silent Assassin Suit Only, so I feel like SOSA is the correct name.

There's this annoying bug that makes conversations sometimes not start up, which made the embassy feel way emptier than it actually was. I only heard certain conversations by the fourth time I was replaying the level, even though I had gotten to those areas and stood around long enough to hear them every time I played.

I'm just waiting for my 1080 to play this...

Ever notice how each new level builds upon the previus ones? Paris was a combination of the 2 tutorial missions. Sapienza was Paris fused with the new *open* environment concept.

Marrakesh takes all previous level designs and makes it far more chaotic. So i'm wondering how are they going to build upon Morocco.

They are using something they call a modular sandmox, every level is built on the same setting.

It's literally a "just on time" model.

modular sandbox*

anyone else on pc experiancing frequent crashes since the update?

No crashes whatsoever on my side.

>It's literally a "just on time" model.

What do you mean by this?

Silent Assassin, Suit Only

They're doing a good job so far

>Denuvo game

It's fun to see, that games which aren't pirate able, sell less and are not discussed on any major board than games without Denuvo

...

Meant just in time

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Just-in-time_manufacturing

I've found the Hitman threads lately to be very civil and comfy because of the lack of pireate babbies, except for the few salty ones who come in and complain about a game they've never played.

I'm not sure I get what you mean by this. You mean the level layout is the same and I haven't noticed?
