What's the most important aspect in a video game for you? Gameplay? Story? Music? girls?

Music is really important to me, it does at least 50% of the game's greatness
Dark Souls 3 is an awesome game, and in addition it has perfect musics, just think of the fight with Sulyvahn, the music did everything.

Memes.

spooked

Source on that webm?

Man that is some stupid bullshit.
>He reaches out to touch him

Honestly nothing about Dark Souls' soundtrack ever stood out to me. I can pretty much only think of the Gwyn theme if I think of music in that game. I'm sure I'd notice it way more if it was absent but as it stands it all just sounds eh.

its LITERALLY the filename n00b

Afflicted, kinda like a scary Chronicle, full movie is on youtube, p good

Listen to the nameless song in dark souls 1, thats a good one

this
and also epilogue of dark souls 3, I can never skip credits

>Spooky at first
>But then scared pause and slow lunge

There goes all scariness.

Gameplay
Graphics
Music
Story

in that order

I guess long term playability. I want to sink into a game like a book, interested in a 6 hour session when I can get the time.

User Interfaces are my number one turn on for a game. Elite Dangerous, Blitzkrieg and the Civilization series stand out to me.

After that game mechanics, then sound and art design.

Likewise. Every song sounds the same because they rely on that fucking choir so much. O&S's theme was the only memorable one because it had some good bits that didn't involve the choir.

Honestly, using a choir to try and sound "epic" just ruins any song.

>'spooky guy is ninja silent' meme in horror movies

fucking dropped before I picked it up, thanks OP

FeelsBadMan

Gameplay is number 1

Graphics are neat and can sometimes make a game better but usually they don't matter

Story is generally irrelevant but it does depend on the type of game

Music doesn't matter either but if a soundtrack is good then it's just a plus.

Gameplay
Music
Graphics
Story

The right order

>music over graphics
shitty soundtrack can be muted, shitty graphics cannot

>posts real life
>calls it a game

This.

>disabling music in a game

>real life

nah it's a movie which pass as games nowadays

i'm just saying, if it's shitty, you can disable it
not so for graphics

In regards to presentation:
ambience > aesthetic > music > graphics

Great gameplay can make up for a bad story. The reverse is not true, unless the story was absolutely top-tier.

/thread

Story for Games I want to play in long sessions for.

Gameplay for stuff I can jump on and play for 30 minutes.

>"/thread"ing your own post

Dude is a vampire so it makes sense

Gameplay > Sound Design = Artstyle > the rest
