There's nothing either deeply flawed or devisive about DOOM. It's a good game well executed (except the multiplayer, which isn't BAD so much as it's extremely bland)
I really enjoyed the new Doom and will highly recommend, but sadly, it just doesn't have that much of a lasting appeal as other games might have, including of course old Doom and its 20 years of mod and user-created content.
After completing it once and collecting every other shitstain you left unchecked on your first playthrough there really isn't much more to it, multiplayer is boring, snapmap sucks, and even if they release some kind of SDK, making mods/maps for it seems like a daunting task so it might be a while until decent stuff starts popping up.
So yeah, literally nothing to do right now but waiting for Bethesda/nuID to move it forward somehow, if any.

I was just playing it. It's a pretty good game. Got all the secrets and shit on the first 7 levels, but I started getting sloppy and wanted to finish the story after that. Going back to do secret hunting now, some of these are pretty tricky to find.

Guess Im late to the thread, but here's my opinion on Doom:
It brings nothing new to the table, but the fine tuning on it is near perfect. The only problem is its THE SAME SHIT for 8 hours. They have nothing to surprise you except to put EVEN MORE enemies in the next room.
I rented the game so I had to comeplete it in 3 days and god damn was it tideous.
Also the ending cliff hangar was a big FUCK YOU in everyones face.
